So anybody know if you can change the folder Opera transfers dowloads too, from inbuilt memory to a storage card?

i don't regret it one bit...to know that i helped support the development of great software.

i even donated money to both beemer and mikelspikel for the widcomm project - and i'm not even using WM5! hehehe

No Macromedia Flash support yet, at least the one that works in PIE does not work in Opera.....I think $24 bucks is too expensive.

This is exactly what I was curious about. If they didn't fix it, the price doesn't matter; I won't be buying it.

This is from the changelog on the opera website:

User interface

* Support for changing encoding current window is viewed in.
* Added proxy support and settings.
* Added setting to select whether to identify Opera to Web sites as a desktop or handheld browser.
* Added "Single column" display setting to force Small-Screen Rendering even on high-resolution screens.
* New Action menu contains navigation options.
* Add bookmark menu option moved to Action > Bookmark this page
* New "Exit" menu option under Menu > Tools > Exit.
* Opera will use high-resolution skin items on high-resolution screens if available.
* Added option to specify cache size.
* Added option to specify a download directory, including downloading to memory card.
* Keyboard shortcuts -- most actions can now be performed from the keyboard.
* Fixed problem where wrong font would be used in address field and on user interface elements.
* Fixed issue where "Go to" button would not be activated until the first Web address had been read.

Regards,

Gary

When is Netfront ever gonna release its final version? I think if I spent 30 bucks on a broswer, i'd spend it on something that has built in java, flash support, and high resolution thingy that Netfront does.

Last I heard Netfront said it was suppose to be released end of May.... so where is it?

My what a huge disappointment ! What's the point of putting out Betas if they only correct half the bugs ?

I have an X50v running WM2003SE. I'm running it in hi-res VGA mode.

I've just downloaded the latest demo, and after 20mins of playing here's what I've found:

Pros
The Courier fonts have gone.
Zoom now works properly.
Double space problem gone on keyboard.
Keyboard comes up correctly in context now.
Javascript pages seem to work fine.

Cons
The progress bar still covers the horizontal scroll bar.
I find the progress bar annoying, and can't see a means to turn it off.
My D-Pad won't scroll me vertically in the same manner as PIE. Instead, it operates as per the Betas and tabs you between various screen elements.
The highlight problem is still there i.e. links won't work if you've accidentally managed to highlight another link. So you have to click a blank bit of screen to de-select, then hit the link.
Flash still doesn't work.
On long pages, the information stays all corrupted at the end.

Frustrated is just not the word. This was all looking so promising. Why ignore half the bad stuff after all this time ?????????

That's the one that does it for me... if that was fixed i'd have bought it this morning.

Now to decide between Netfront and PIEPLUS...

(think it's going to have to be netfront )
