This seems to be a generic problem with the x50v + WM2003SE combination; strange the WM2003SE devices I've been testing Opera Mobile don't result in this problem (unlike the old beta2). Can you provide me some URL's?
Here's a good example URL ! http://pocketpcmag.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=17921
Also nearly any of the longer pages on Google Groups. Such as: http://groups.google.com/group/alt.internet.search-engines/browse_thread/thread/325a2874dd2db21c/5c7840136416962b?lnk=st&q=bmw&rnum=18#5c7840136416962b
These pages (as with all the long pages I’ve tested the trial version of Opera on) are all rendered perfectly by both my WM2003 QVGA iPAQ 2210 and WM2003SE VGA Pocket Loox 720 as can be seen in the following screenshots:
That is, I’m absolutely sure this bug is x50v + WM2003SE specific. What ROM version do you have?
I was still using the beta today, which is June 1.Here's how:set your clock back to a date before June 1.(I wonder if that will work on the Office 2007 beta when it expires)This is actually the best browser I can use.(PIE doesn't work,AvantGo reeks)
I don't think so. I installed it and I'm still having the double space bug when entering text with Tengo.
OIC. With built-in (non-third-party) keyboard SIP and the ThinkOutside BT keyboard, it's working well - that is, without double spaces. I'll test 3rd-party SIPs to see whether the problem is common with all of them or only with Tengo.
BTW, I've mentioned several times how good the JavaScript support in Opera Mobile is (standards compliance is THE killer point in Opera Mobile, in addition to pure speed). Yes, even gmail autocomplete works, as can be seen in here:
(Please note that you will need to enter one letter more and, then, delete the last letter with the Backspace key for this to work. Otherwise, it works flawlessly. Also note that you'll need to switch Opera to Desktop mode (Menu/Tools/Settings/Identify as Desktop computer))
if their charging that much i expect them to do something amazing with it its just the same opera i might as just well use 8.5 and save myself $24... lame opera im dissapointed...
im going with mozilla
I don't think Mozilla (Minimo) will reach the "usable" state in the near future :)
From what i know Opera doesnt support the abobe flash 7 plug in that IE does.
I installed Opera on my HTC Wizard last night (i left my Axim at work) and i thought that in comparison to IE it was generaly slower, and took longer to download pages than IE does. Hopefully i will not forget my Axim tonight so i can give it a try on that.
Well i didnt forget my X51v and i must say i am very impressed with this browser! and it looks ACE on a VGA device! none of the issues i have with it on my Wizard presented themselves.

strange you found HTC Wizard slow. i have been using opera on my Wizard and have no speed probs p. I am also typing this on it.
What ROM version do you have? mine is teh latest 2.16 imate.
I've been using the Opera demo now for 2 days, and must say that it should never have come out of beta! I'm using an x51v/WM5. I get frequent random lockups and screwed up page rendering. After closing Opera, I often cannot reopen Opera without a soft reset.

Really disappointed.
I don't understand. I'm using a x51v and experience none of your problems.
I know it's not perfect but I will pay for a legal version before the trial ends.
