Skype 2.1 for Pocket PC in Public Beta
Today, Skype released a new Skype Windows Mobile version Beta - Skype for Pocket PC 2.1 Beta.
Skype for Pocket PC provides customers the freedom to enjoy Skype 'on the go' at home, the office or outdoors - wherever a Wi-Fi, EDGE or 3G network is that a Pocket PC can connect to. So find your favorite Wi-Fi hot spot and Skype away. If you get an EDGE or 3G enabled Pocket PC with broadband data plan, you can really start going places with your buddies always nearby.
Beside fixing a lot of Skype for Pocket PC 2.0 bugs, the 2.1 Beta also adds a lot of cool new features. Some are handy, some are useful, others just increase the compatibility to Skype 2.5 for PCs.

No active sync to connect to o well old version did that
also no sound out on in on my X50v or wont connect and dial
going back to the ole one i guess using 2003se

What I really want to know is, can you view a webcam from your PPC yet, and can you configure desktop Skype to automatically answer a call? You see, a couple of seemingly easy-to-implement features, and I can check if Captain UPS has left me a present, from anywhere on the continent.

This thing keeps telling me that it's not a valid Windows Mobile program and won't install on my 2003SE PPC. What the heck??

I also can't install it on my 2003SE device... the application manager says there is an error in a setup file. *sigh*

I installed it. Grabbing the .cab file is quite a pain in the ass when you are mobile. You must use "desktop" view layout if you do so.
