Review - Dragon Ball

Our friends on the other side of the pond have translated this review and submitted it to us to share with our readers. I hope you enjoy it!

"Personally I liked DragonBall a lot. For a Puzzle-Game it has great graphics and sounds. Everyone who likes Puzzle-Games should give it a try. DragonBall didn’t create something really new and creative for the Genre, but it’s very well made and looks and sounds much better then other games of that kind. On top of all that it’s easy to learn and control and lots of fun to fight those dragons through more then 70 Levels"

Yup, it's indeed better than Zuma in that it supports VGA. See my roundup of all the available Zuma / Luxor clones on the Pocket PC here if interested.

(BTW, Could it Be possible to Eliminate the Noun Caps in the Review? ;) It's Very Distracting.)

This game is very cool. I found it a few weeks ago and seen how the game played. It took me a minute to figure out the controls, you just use the stylus... not the dpad... and you just click where you want to shoot. The bot at the bottom automatically moves and fires where you clicked.

I thought it would be more challenging to control the bottom shooter by having to move it with the dpad. I found that you can just click the colored balls up at the top and it'll shoot it up there. I killed the demo very easily. I now have the full version but I haven't played past where the demo left off. I just hope it gets harder.

I love Zuma but my main problem with Zuma is that it is too easy. It was very easy to finnish it.

How does Dragon Ball compare in difficulty?

I was just about to say that this looks just like Zuma. I've already beaten Zuma. I might have to purchase this if it will actually pose a challenge. Thanks for the heads up.

It's even easier.

If you want to have a very-hard-to-control (and, therefore, hard) game, get the IM Productions title.

I'm not asking for a game thats hard to control, just one that may have more levels, harder levels, or faster game play.

But thanks for your answer.

Did you try the "hard" level in DragonBall? IIRC, there're three levels in the game.

Is it just the first levels or is this like exrtremely slow? I played the demo yesterday and it was creeping along, on my x50v.

It shoudl work great on the x51v. Not slow at all.

Maybe an x50v-related bug (version 1.0 was quite buggy).
