You can't compare PPL to VS 2005 really. Neither can you compare NSBasic or any other small languages designed for the PocketPC to it.
However it is a lot easier to code programs and write games in PPL than in VS. VS is big, complicated for hobbyists and expansive. With VS you can't code directly from your PocketPC and you have no cross-platform Assembler like PPL.
So it doesn't compare but it does offer a lot of advantages over VS 2005 I should say. And trust me I know what I am talking about, I wrote PPL in VS and eVC.
Id like to download it too. Tried with both IE and firefox. Nothing happens on the request page.
It seems you have to click on the link under the word GET (the little down arrow icon). If you click on the link PPL 1.01 (which is intuitively what you'd expect to do), it takes you to a download page which doesn't seem to work. I'd suggest if you weren't able to work that one out yourself :rolling: , you'd probably struggle writing OOP programs - but don't let me put you off.
I tried to use the visual form builder on my x51v (in trueVGA mode), but it can't be full screen, it's only using the fourth QVGA (240x320) top left corner.
PPL supports true VGA and the PIDE can build VGA forms. There should be a WM2003 folder in your \Program Files\PPL folder, the .EXE in there is a WM2003, WM2005 VGA enabled build.
The visual form builder on the PocketPC is probably still set to use QVGA resolution. I will let the VFB developer know about this so it can be resolved in 1.02.
