What it is:

Your customized Live.com homepage, on the go. Use your PC to customize Live.com so it has your news, your search terms (see automatically updated results every time you come back), fun and funky mini-programs ("Gadgets"), and more. Then check it out when you're out and about with Live.com Beta for mobile.

What you can do with it:

• Read your Live.com customized headlines and other RSS content
• Check your stocks, weather, and other Gadget content
• Easily access your Windows Live Mail inbox and your other mobile services (like instant messaging and blogging)
• Search the web, news, and other sources right from your customized home page

How to:

Step 1: Visit live.com on your PC: http://www.live.com.

Step 2: Customize your Live.com home page by selecting the features you want: RSS feeds, Gadgets, news, etc.

Step 3: On your mobile device, type the following into your browser: http://mobile.live.com/portal (please note that this link is designed to work with your mobile device only and won't display properly on your PC).

Step 4: View your Live.com homepage. Access Windows Live services from the service bar. Read headlines and news stories. Get information about sports, local weather, and more. All on your mobile device.

Naw, they aren't evil per se. Some of their practices are questionable from time to time. I wouldn't say that they are evil though. People make mistakes. Anyway, I used to be a MS basher but I use so many of their products every day that there really isn't a point. I really have no issue with MS.
