What about the X30? Will it work with the Broadcomm stack?
Thank you.
I'm a little new to this but as far as I know the X30 will only work with BT headphones that support bluetooth version 1.1. I'm not sure if newer hadphones always support this earlier protocol. I do know that the Motorola HT820 and S805 do support version 1.1 and do work with the X30. I have them both. They aren't exactly what you would consider loud and version 1.1 doesn't support stereo but the head phones work.
Hey, I run an x50v and I’m not sure what BT I run, but I think I’m somewhat competent enough to update my stack if I got these phones, but is it worth it. I hear a lot of talk about whether there is back ground noise with bluetooth headphones. Some people say if you BT is working properly there shouldn’t be a crackling noise in the background. Others say it is inevitable. I would like to get a set of BT phones like these. It would be convenient for school having my axim in my bag and being able to switch songs and stuff, but I surely don’t want to compromise quality. Does anyone have an opinion whether it’s worth the buck or not? What are the chances of having bad quality?

It can be easily upgraded to be A2DP-compliant (just a question of running a simple update). Please head over the Tips and Tricks forum here - I've posted a LOT of A2DP-related articles there.

This hasn't much to do with 1.1 vs 1.2.
The x30 doesn't support A2DP; it can, however, be "hacked" to be able to do this. Please look around in the Tips and Tricks forum here - I've posted a LOT of A2DP-related articles there, including the way WM2003SE devices can be hacked to support A2DP.
Hey, Meneisyys, I am trying to find the BT hacks you posted a few weeks ago and can't find them on the boards. Would you mind reposting or PM'ing me with the link.
Thanks,
Doug

I think the widcomm project is great for those who enjoy it, but I found the drivers and interface slow and clumsy. After installing the widcomm drivers and following the directions specificly, I was able to get some basic bluetooth connections set up, but it didnt offer much over the built in bluetooth drivers (IMO).
Please note that the MS BT stack has MUCH worse sound quality than that of Widcomm with several stereo BT headphone models (dunno whether the new model is one of them - gaven't tested it with my x51v). Read my A2DP-related articles in the Tips and Tricks forum - I've written a lot about all these questions.

Meneisyys, the one I was looking for was nt related to A2DP/AVRCP. It was related to a registry hack controlling the speed of your playback over BT.

I got mine today and I didn't have any trouble partnering with the Widcomm stack on my X51v. Some breakup occurs if I am doing processor intensive stuff in other programs or using the Wifi, but I can play sudoku and listen to tunes at the same time, so I'm happy. These are really nice little headphones. Good up to about 15ft, so I can mostly use it in my cube at work or in the lab without much loss.
I got these for Chrismas and am less than impressed with them at the moment because they cut out so much. If I'm paried and listening to TCMP, with nothing else running, it periodically cuts out and then it catches up and they later starts cutting out again. I get the same results with GSPlayer. Also the next and pause/play commands don't work. If anyone one has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it. I've got and X51v with the widcomm bt stack installed, and all my music is encoded to ogg
