Just go into CP's settings, it's under file associations. Check what you want CP to open with. Same as TCPMP.
I have Coreplayer v1.00 build 492. It doesn't seem to have a "file associations" page. Perhaps I should try the new version of CP. Thanks for the tip tho.
Still the freaking WM5 softkey-mindless-useless-waste-of-real-estate type of menus!
(I stole your emoticon glenn ;))
As much as I enjoy using Coreplayer, TCPMP is still staying and will until they put AC3 in it.
What made you think they were going to change this? Did BetaBoy ever say they were going to?
You are complaining about a WM5 compatible application using the STANDARD WM5 interface. Blame Microsoft if anyone, but most of us have gotten over this by now.

I'm still rather disappointed with the hotkeys setup :(. In TCPMP I could configure one of the buttons to turn off the screen while the music was playing, but it seems I still cannot do that. I also cannot browse network folders as I could with TCPMP. Apart from that it's looking very nice and is worth paying for regardless :).

You def. should try it seeing that you paid for it :)
v1.0.4 b716 has it. Menu>Tools>Preferences>File Associations.

I personally like the softkeys, because I like to control with my fingers + dpad most of the time and TCPMPs File button was too tiny - at least for my fingers.

Actually betaboy did say that this version would allow the users to turn off the soft keys. I don't think the "STANDARD WM5 interface" is a valid argument. I've tested 100s of software/games and this is the only application that the WM5 style soft keys on 2003SE.

I think you can. Go to hotkeys option, press a hardware button and assign it to blank screen (AFAIR).

Good point. I still feel i've wasted my money though considering i've swung back to TCPMP. Ah well, what's $20 anyway? I've wasted much greater sums than that. No names mentioned *cough* windows xp *cough* *cough*.
Sure there is blank screen option :D What do you think I just did? I assigned my wi-fi activation button to enable/disable blank screen. It really works. Seems you just overlooked that hotkey setup or something, because it IS really there

My apologies! You are absolutely right.
I did not realise that going to Hotkeys\Menu\ Modify Key allowed you to select so many options.
Thank you for the tip. I have also assigned my wi-fi button.
Actually I find the whole CorePlayer Menu structure rather confusing and complex. It is worth while experimenting with them. A user manual would also be useful.
CorePlayer V1.0.4 is a superb player, well worth the price, especially at $14.95 with the Aximsite discount. :approve:

Huh? Where?
Also I am a little disappointed that you will have to let the program 'check in' to the coreplayer main server to download a 'seed' file every so often. If you dont it will revert back to free state. Which means (i think) that most of your codec support is gone. This seems completely ridiculous for a program that I would shell out $$ for.
Actually, this is one of those rumors that (I think) has gotten out of control. The reason it needs to check in every so often is to look for updates, not to download a seed file. It checks for updates and downloads the updates you need in order to utilize various features.
