SAPIE - Personal Secretary

Here is a really cool PIM (released Nov 15, 2006) with voice recognition capabilities! Checked out the trial and it looks and works great on the PPC.

"SAPI is designed to fulfill the whole range of secretary duties. It was raised under strict supervision in Speereo Software Labs. It can be installed on your handheld device to help you maintain your agenda, contacts, tasks and email accounts.

SAPIE is based on Speereo Speech Recognition technology that offers you outstanding accuracy and speaker-independency. SAPIE is able to maintain a natural dialogue with you, so you can now carry your briefcase or drive a car while speaking to your personal adviser. Don't bother and don't tap the screen."

Thanks for the insight. I'm really finding it hard to believe. I can't understand how this would work, but i'm giving it a try. Seeing is believeing i guess.

Excellent find, it's food for thought...

Thanks again

Just downloaded program. Can't seem to load it up on to my ppc.

any one have any luck with it?

If so can you explain what i might be doing wrong.

Are the files you download .cab files. There are 3 of them. I placed them in my axim and then i did what i normally do to install a cab file. And it just kept processing w/o any advancement. So i just cancled the process and i'm back to square one.

So please do let me know

also if you have any opinions of it. is it worth the trouble ...

Thnaks

I downloaded and installed it on my Axim X30H without problems (the trial version). Installed without too many problems, just took an absolute age to install on my SD card, PC install was fine. The diary function is too limited, and voice recognition has too many limitations and inaccuracy for me. Played with it for about an hour then set about deleting from PPC and PC. Uninstall routine left a lot of dross behind, including the main exe on the PC. Had to do some manual removal of several files. I won't be re-installing it.

What exe do you have on the PC? I only had 3 CAB files in the zip file and installed right on the PPC without any issues. kparikh82276, try a soft reset and install the CAB files on default location. I was able to transfer everything on my storage card and SAPIE worked fine from there too.

I downloaded the program to my x51v.
The program has a few glitches though.
When I would ask the program to give me my task list.
The program would hang.
I would have to do a soft reset to get out of the program.
After trying to program for a couple of hours I finally deleted it.

I can not get the program to exit. I press the X, the exit menu comes up, and only Cancel and Minimize work. Exit does not.

Not very useful.

Yep, it's a pain to delete it too. "Normal" delete left all kinds of crud all over the place, on the PPC and PC. Had to do a manual resgistry edit and folder delete thing, and even now I can still smell it!

Worried

Most of these glitches are fixed now, guys! Sorry for that.

Manual CAB installation is performed in the following order:
1. SE.arm.cab - the Speech engine file
2. reminder.arm.cab - the program itself
3. (optional) videopack.arm.cab - "Personal Secretary" visualization
