Yes. But this version is somekind of final goal (don't ask me why it's not 1.0 ^^) and will take a lotta more time.
But there will be an Update soon fixing 3 GPU Plugin problems.

If you would have read the two first post of mine in the thread with the FPSEce version in the main forum, you would know that the CD init. error is a well known issue among ripped games that is caused by an unknown problem but which is random. Normally, just closing the emu and restarting it solves it.
Or make a Soft Reset. It can also happen that if you change driver, the error isn't there anymore. So just try it again. If it keeps bugging and you can, make a Hard Reset and report if it works then. It also seems as if the bug happens more often with GAPi driver then with LFB or VGA although this might be just subjective as it is...well... random -.-
I promise that the searching for the rason goes on.
To avoid it, using unripped isos seems to be the best solution if you have the space ;)
Homebrew EXEs seem not to be affected either.

As I always rip right away (an 8 GB MicroDrive has it's limits, too ;) ), I can only try to remember but I think it was something around 600 MB as that's the "usual" size. Maybe a bit less if just compressed and not ripped.´
Ripping can cut the size by half... if not more, I not always go the "hard way" (smaller) but the faster one as I test the game and then throw on an other.

is the emulator's performance good enough to play games, or is it very slow? I don't have any PS game on me at the moment, but plan on buying some off my cousin for $1 each (he's little, and don't mind giving him a few bucks :) ) But before I start ripping, I want to know if it's even worth it.. Sound like people are happy with it, but havn't really heard anything about how well it plays
Pretty much (as always with every emulator) depends on the device and the games you want to play (2D or 3D or mixed etc.) but as you have a x51v, I would say it plays really good with LFB driver, there is by far no device besides the x50v that is comparable fast with FPSEce.
But I uploaded some freeware demos of commercial 3D games (Dino Crisis, Silent Hill), too so again, check my Freeware Thread...

Strange thing, but obviously a bug. When starting FPSE from Resco today plug-in or WisBar shortcuts it starts, but then, when loading an image, it crashes. But, when loading FPSEce.exe or shortcut directly from Explorer or Resco Explorer – it works just fine, loading images without any problems.
Sorry I can not reproduce this as I don't use such software (as everything that's loaded into the program RAM on startup is booh for me as beta tester ^^) and it works just fine with normal shortcuts for me =/
However, there seems to be somekind of path bug under wm5.0 although up to now, the source is unknown, we'll have a look.
We also think we found the source of the CD init. bug (finally) and maybe a nice idea of mine will find it's way into one of the coming version you all will enjoy for sure but for now it's my lil secret ^^

It also seems that if you have FPSEce two times on your wm5.0 PDA, one will not work.
