for winxp, you have to google some files as I can remember.
It's the only method I can recommend cause it works for myself (and includes PocketISO). Other ISO software might not work at all.

Hey Michu,
Does 20fps sound normal for an x51v running the psx game 'Driver'? The latest version of FPSEce runs it, but it seems dreadfully slow compared to the console. Am I doing something wrong? Here's what I have setup:
CPU mode - recompiler
CPU type - Arm v5
GFX Driver - LFB
Fastboot
Display - Landscape left
Also, is there any way to run VGA in landscape mode or does the VGA setting only work with portrait? Does enabling 'frameskip' have any effect on fps (i.e., will it speed things up)??
Time to dust off that DiabloI Cd from the PS One and bust that baby back onto my PDA again!
Ugh! I'm so close. I get as far as the Diablo loading screen. After a few seconds the loading screen disappears and all I have is a blank screen. The emu does not close and is responsive as I can go to the option menu and even quit. But no Diablo yet.
If any one can get past the Diablo loading screen please post.
1. There seems to be a problem with Diablo which is strange cause it worked in past versions, we'll have a look
2. For Driver, I get aound 27 to 30 FPS with the same settings... I don't know why wm5.0 should be slower here, what speed is your PDA clocked on?
3. For now, drawing the scene in VGA and landscape kills the FPS. Hopefully, there is a hardware-way to do that. Otherwise, I already have a different plan to at least higher the comfort.
4. Frameskip is a bit irritating because it doesn't skip frames in the amount of level set but the emu tries to force a certain amount of frames per second. Which can either work good or not.
Here is the list:
Level 0: no frames skipped.
Level 1: try to run the emu at least to 10 fps.
Level 2: try to run the emu at least to 15 fps.
Level 3: try to run the emu at least to 20 fps.
Level 4: try to run the emu at least to 25 fps.
Level 5: try to run the emu at least to 30 fps.
Level 6: try to run the emu at least to 35 fps.
Level 7: try to run the emu at least to 40 fps.
Level 8: try to run the emu at least to 45 fps.
Level 9: try to run the emu at least to 50 fps.

Awesome! Quick questions tho. Will this emulator use the same BIOS files as EPSXE and other PSX emmulators? And if so where can i find these files? Thanks.
Yes it's the same and sorry, it's illegal to share it as it's under Sony's copyright.

i think, i might try this later today, i have been watching this project for some time, waiting for WM5 support, i still have piles of PS1 games that i can rip, guess i better go order a load of SD cards!
only problem will be the bios, i dont suppose anyone could pm me on that?
There isn't much to set, there are values you shouldn't change (like the cpu mode) and others that might not work for you.
Besides the controls and the GFX driver (where a Axim with accelerator sets LFB, a wm5.0 device GDI or GAPI and a normal PDA GAPI for best performance), you can only choose the CPU type which is ARMv5 (XScale) or not ^^. All other settings do not affect ingame speed (beside the fact that the FPS counter itself needs power).

Uhm, don't get me wrong here but why the hack would someone wanna use GAPI Tweak for x50v if he can have LFB driver with accelerator-support? o.O

Hi Michu,
Thanks for replying. In answer to your first question, it's running on max performance (624 Mhz). I haven't really messed around much with the frameskip but I'll give that a shot to see whether I can get different results...
ok, stupid question, i just tried copying the files over and it launches and everything fine, for my x51v i changed the cpu type to v5 and graphics driver to LFB. is there anything else i need to do, do i need a BIOS file? or will it work ok without one?
lastly, how do i convert my PS1 games (from disk form) to fit onto my PDA?
When, or will, this support the PS1 movies? I love the games, but the movies are often critical to them (and one reason I bought the PSX version of ChronoTrigger instead of sticking with the old SNES version)
