Something I totally for got to mention in more depth Zero Configuration WiFi - I was unable to take screenshots of my fun with WiFi, But here is how it went.
I placed my Axim on the cradle and installed the new Dell True Mobile Device Driver that came with the new companion CD. Took 1 minute and it was installed. Because I have no need for WiFi in my home(cat5 wired with my Telephone and Cable), I had no where to test this new feature. I drove 50 miles to my dads home and removed my CF Memory card. Keep in mind that I already installed the driver. I slapped the Dell True Mobile 1180 Wireless LAN CompactFlash Card for the Dell Axim into my Axim. Bam ! A message appeared on the display. " Linksys Wireless Network Detected " ! I think I hit a button that said connect. Figuring that it was done, I opened PIE and to my surprise, http://www.Aximsite.com/boards/archive came right up.
So in conclusion, Unwired ti Wireless browsing in less than 15 seconds. 1:15 seconds if you include the driver installation....

That is a pretty cool feature. Do you know if you have to install different drivers for all wifi cards? I have a linksys card, and am hoping that it will work with Microsoft Mobile 2003.

I only tested the Dell Card so I really can not comment. I am sure that if a driver is required that all major brands will have updated drivers on their sites....

I don't know about the D-Link, but with my Linksys, I actually had to configure the router name into my settings so it could recognize what to connect to. It seems like the new OS will find all available networks, and let you connect instead of making you name the router. At least this is what I think. Am I right anyone?

When you initially set-up you card, you had to do a bit of configuration, right. Here there is nothing to configure. IF that is not the case, heck the new feature is not that exciting. I jugded by the amount of support needed to set up Wifi Cards in the forums, that this is a VERY welcome feature...

With my Ambicom, using the Intersil driver, if I just set to "ANY", it will pick up and connect to any AP that broadcasts an SSID. If the SSID isn't broadcast, I have to manually add to a profile. I don't see how PPC2003 can improve on this?
I had to call Dell the day it came but my problem was self induced. I was not entering all 24 (?) characters for the 128 bit encryption. O/W, it has worked ok.
I installed Dell True Mobile wifi card with a netgear wireless access point and had NO problems. The card installed and I was on the internet within seconds!
I have a socket lower power 802.l1b card and it does not get along with my adaptec AP. It doesn't even see it, I am so frustrated especially since my laptop sees it without a problem. Any other socket users run into this problem?
why is the Dell True Mobile listed as a axim site recommended WIFI card ???? its junk, look at all the posting there tons of them. I know as i rma mine back could not connect pass my front door.. got a Socket WIFI connect 3 blocks away almost week but still its a lot further then the front door....
Is Dell sponsoring this site ??? I dont understand why you would endorse a product as poor as the Dell True Mobile WIFI card..
