I'm having a devil of a time with my X51V and the Final of Vista Ultimate.
A few days ago, it would show the device to setup a partnership. When attempting all I would get is media files, no choices for data files.

I gave up after a long day and came back to it today. Now the Axim shows up in my computer and shows connected in WMDC but, no longer appears in the sync center.
Should I ditch the MS sync center that came with Vista and install the beta 3?
I did a clean install of Vista so no traces of AS on the system. Running WM5.

I'm really frustrated and Dell is no help. Telling me they are taking classes on Vista this week.
I would think a major company would have started training on Vista long ago.
Any help would be much appreciated!

This man speaks the truth. I have an x50v WM2003SE (A05) and it works fine with the vista mobile device centre (Vista Ultimate).

You may have to place the pda on its craddle then perform a windows update. I had to download an update to get it to work.

The VMDC is fast and I synced all my contacts from the x50v back into my vista

Worried

Hello everybody,

I have a very good question for you. I installed vista ultimate edition 3 days ago and almost everything work very well with my X51v. The sync with Outlook was ok.

My problem is with WMP11 ... when I want to sync my song with my axim, Windows Media Player only see my main memory. I can't sync with my 8gb microdrive or with my 4gb sd card... Of course, my main memory is almost full, so I can't sync avy song. But When I browse my axim in the explorer , I see my SD and CF card ... but not in WMP11.

Can someone can help me because I really like Vista

Thanks a lot

Chaps I am losing the will to live and hoping you can help. I have a Vista laptop with WMDC and the driver updates and a Dell Axim x51 (ROM AO5). When I first got the laptop I had no problems with the sync but now it is very intermittent and more commonly, non existent (WDMC reports Axim as 'not connected').

In the past if I uninstalled WDMC and the drivers and reinstalled, it would work. Once each time that is! Two weeks ago I did this process and got it to sync x3, even after disconnecting it x2 from the USB. Now, nothing.

Part of the problem seems to be that Pocket PC/Dell Axim x51 driver seems to keep dropping from the device list, but I cannot get it back on the driver list.

I have tried here there and everywhere for a solution (including Microsoft - awaiting reply), but no success.

You refer above to Advanced network functionality under Start-Settings-Connections-USB to PC. The USB to PC does not exist on my Axim under connections.

Any help would greatly be appreciated. If you need more system info let me know.

Thanks in advance.
