Aximsite / Mobility Site RED CROSS Drive - 20% off too!

The Red Cross needs your support

We did this before to help Hurricane Katrina victims, but now it's time to help others. There is an immediate need for help with the folks in Florida.

UPDATE : On top of helping, you ALSO get 20% off your purchase in February AND Mobihand is going to match our contribution! To get the 20% off, enter HELPFL in the checkout box!

What can you do?
You can donate directly to the Red Cross. You can mail a Check to the Red Cross that we can send on behalf of Aximsite / Mobility Site.

But the fun way to support is to buy software. I am donating Aximsite and Mobility Site's Software store income to the Red Cross to aid those in Florida.

What does that mean really?
I get a percentage of each software store sale from Mobihand, the company that provides and manages the store. For every purchase you make in the month of February at the Aximsite or Mobility Site Software store, my portion will be donated to the Red Cross. I will work with Mobihand to get them to break out the month's sales to provide a solid number to write out a check for.

TO DONATE TO THE RED CROSS DIRECTLY - CLICK HERE
Aximsite Store / Mobility Site Store

If you donate to the Red Cross either directly or by cutting a check to them through us, make sure to email me some info if you would like to get the Red Cross Award.

This is a good time to get the new SPB Mobile Shell and help at the same time!

That is exactly what I was thinking...

The review came out at a very convenient time.

Ok, I was going to wait until the evaluation period for Brain Evolution had expired but I just bought the registration via the Aximsite store.

I applaud Chris and his heart for activism :approve:

We gave a donation this last week, and Lauren-Rae and her group, the Woodstown Juniorettes, cut a check @ the same time from their operating budget....she thought it was so cool to be able to have funds available for emergency use such as this....the Juniorettes are a community service group which fundraises throughout the year and serves the local and global 'community'. The real kicker is they have fun whilst doing good....smiles all 'round! It was really great to hear her so adamant about sending help and even though not able, wanting to do more, to go there. I am so going to miss her once she goes to college, next year...she makes the house sparkle, just like her smile.

A little about the motivation...

I am pretty closed minded. It takes something that hits closer to home to wake me up sometimes. When Katrina hit, I felt so bad and it made me appreciate what I have more than ever.

Today, My supervisor had me come 1 hour south of where I work to help out. At lunch, he ran me through an area that had been hit by tornadoes in December. It hit me again. I wondered what I could do to show my support and this hit me...

I understand that things happen everywhere and some overseas places deal with madness daily. I have sympathy for those people and I wish I could help others everywhere, but unfortunately I cant.

I am considering making this donation a permanent fixture, pick an unsolicited organization to donate to. Like the James Kim foundation next month.

I would HIGHLY suggest you take a look at the business practices of the American Red Cross. The money you donate to them WILL not go to Florida. It just goes in their bottomless pockets.

They had to be SHAMED into actually spending the money after 9/11 that was donated to them by people thinking they were helping victims of 9/11.

There are other charities that will better serve the people in Florida and actually use the money there.

It'd be wonderful if other major sites decide to do the same thing.

It seems a little odd to contribute to the red cross through axim site unless you are actualy getting software.

That's a great idea, Chris! The ability to help others in multiple ways is a highlight of this excellent site.
