emoze defeats blackberry at 3GSM
Emoze is back from an immensely successful show at 3GSM Barcelona!
For all those who know, emoze had a showdown against blackberry to see who gets their emails quicker and more secure.
Emoze is the worlds 1st free & secure push email solution which supports hundreds of mobile devices.
Two men were standing back to back, one using emoze with his mobile device and the other one with blackberry. Both of them sent an email to the same gmail account at the same time. Emoze won the showdown by knockout!
Again emoze proves to be the best push email solution on the market.

I tried emoze and it works good. When my Ax was docked with my laptop, it received emails before my laptop. Unfortunately, emoze will only work if you have the desktop software running at all times. In my situation, it doesn't work for me, as I travel w/ my laptop.

Glad to Hear it. As some of you may know, our next update will offer the capability to sync without the PC connector, for all you laptop users. This means, you could leave your laptop at home, in the office or in the hotel room. All you need is your mobile phone.
We've just launched a new Installation Wizard in order to install easier quicker and easier on hundreds of devices :exc:

Now i haven't synced my device yet... would that help..caz i wasn't instructed to sync it...so i'm assuming it'll work another way...
so if anyone has gotten their axim x51v connected via a phone... let me know b/c that how i plan to use it.
Have my axim connected via my phone to push mail... i'm thinking it would work.. but if you have recieved any other problems please do tell.
THanks again in advance...

LOL you don't need the phone, it syncs on the X51v.
I haven't set it up in awhile so I forgot how everything went but its pretty straightforward once you choose what device you have, from the selection on thier DL page.

emoze is a push email program which works with outlook on your PC / Laptop
using the application you can read, write, reply, open attachements etc...Through the emoze mail folder that was created on your device.
To read your hotmail email through emoze you need to forward your hotmail / POP3 your email to your outlook inbox on your PC. Any mail that arrives into your inbox will be pushed to your device.
When emoze is running, it automatically syncs with your outlook. Any emails which come into your inbox or you write on your PDA will be pushed out.
You can contact the great people at support with any specific questions and they can take you through any process, step by step... support@emoze.com

I've never heard of emoze so thanks for the heads up. Anything that beats blackberry is good in my book. A bunch of blackberry users in my office gets on my nerves with those things.

Great...some potential bugs
WOW i have been waiting for something like this for a while...and FREE!
I have a million rules on my outlook to filter mail, and I am always annoyed that on the axim I either can only see mail that was synced to my device on last activesync connection or i can only see my imap inbox, which doesnt have the outlook rules applied. Now I see in realtime all my folders, everything is sorted correctly with the outlook rules, and when i return to my PC, what i marked as read etc on my pocket pc is in the same state on my outlook. Amazing.
I have been having issues with the calendar sync though...whenever i change events that already exist on my ax, (times, titles, locations, etc) the changes dont get synced up with my pc. Changes on the pc are sent fine to the ax though...potential bug?
regardless, program is great and any minor bugs it has im sure this company is working to improve and fix.

Hi Mark,
I've been messing with this install all afternoon......
I'm using Win2k and installed Service Pack 4, MSOffice 2003, X50v and Nokia 6230i
During the install I get an error "Assertion failed"
Programme:C:\program files\emoze\emoze.exe
File: \src\wizdlg.cpp
line: 6165
I emailed tech support but no reply...
Any ideas, I'd really get some great value out of this app.......

I'll make sure it's looked and and I'll get back to you with an answer,
Just out of curiousty, How often do all of you check your email on your PDA?
I'm addicted, I check it at least once an hour when I'm not in the office.
Have you guys found more creative uses for emoze? I'd love to hear about it...

I've had to uninstall it.
1) I wasn't able to create a separate file for my other accounts on my pda.
2) Outlook i was able to set up the 2 email accounts, but there wasn't a distinct folder, might be Outlooks problem. but non the less it rendered emoze for me useless.
3) I'm wondering why this would be free, i mean something like this if it worked well,... should be paid service... no?! but i guess that's where the answer lies, if it works well.
I can't say it doesn't work, i was able to sync my 1 account w/ outlook which emoze was able to push email. But that's it. When i set up the other account on outlook, i didn't see any emails from that account.
Also i was a bit confused, if you have more then one email account syncing w/ outlook, will all those email be pushed to emoze folder only... then how would be able to separate them?
If anyone has any suggestions, I'd be happy to implement them, but for now I've settled on uninstalling it until i get more feed back.

great program !! very easy to install and use. works exactly as advertised. I've been using verizons wirelesssync (intellisync) to do the same thing but it is painfully slow and unpredictable. I uninstalled it within 15 minutes of trying Emoze.
keep up the great work. !!!
