A book about the Dell Axim?

Well looks like Rich Hall of Pocket PC Magazine has written a book on our beloved Dell Axim.

I had been approached a few times suggesting that I and or our staff write a book. I declined because of the time required. Well now I found Rich Hall's book on Amazon and thought I would share that with you. Larger Image :: Order from Amazon

My "How to do Everything With My Dell Axim" book is called Aximsite! I would have loved to have this when I first got my Axim. I will probably still get it anyway. I wonder if Barns & Noble will have it? I will have to check tomorrow.

Cool, excellent marketing for the Axim!!!!!

Hmmm, just curious....what would be that unique about this book as opposed to a "How to do everything with your PPC book" ? Also, I'm wondering how this will incorporate Mobile 2003 in it?????

Mad Not published til 2004

Really, it should be an ebook!

I ordered it a month ago, then realized it won't be published until next year. When I ordered it said it would be published in July or August 2003. When i went back later, the publish date had changed to something like Feb 2004. Same with the peachpit press book Visual QuickStart Guide for Pocket PC. I love the VQS books but that is ridiculous.

Why tell us about it so far in advance, like the movie previews that say coming Next Summer! Sorry, I'm the kind of only child spoiled brat that decides they want something, and want it right now!

I doubt there is anything in that book I wouldn't already know from here, and quite a bit I learned here I would never find in a book. I have purchased books like this before, and with technology items they are almost always out of date to current issues by the time they are published. Thanks to AXIMSITE for saving me the time and money by having the definitive 1 stop site for Axim users!

Gwidenor...true dat, true dat

yeah, I must admit, the most valuable things we really need to know about our little axim's come right off of this site! Most of that stuff would probably never make it into a book......

Hmm buy a book on Axims? No, instead I think I'll spend my money a much better way and make a donation to the best site for Axim info: aximsite.com.

There's probably 1/2 dozen ideas/hints or whatever in the book that would be useful. I just can't see spending the time or money to find those. I'd rather search here.

It doesn't include Pocket PC 2003 unless it is an appendix. I preordered this from Amazon in April. The page count is the same as when I preordered as it is today on Amazon.

This is very interesting. Having a person like Rich Hall write a book on Axim is certainly a big thing. It shows that Axim is important to PPC industry. However, I do not see a real value either. I feel like I need to tell everyone I know not to buy this book. Books like this tend to repeat very basic information that are easily available online... I bet most of the content is actually not about Axim...but more about PPC...
