Have you ever used Emoze? Well, today they are dropping the word that they can do something RIM can't with the Blackberry...
A French government ban on the RIM BlackBerry on 20 June 2007, citing a security risk, has created a wave of concern around the world. Some governments allow the device to be used for declassified data and low levels of confidential information, but for classified information, the system is not authorized for use by many governments and agencies. The main security concern is that Blackberry subscribers' emails, attachments, contact lists and diaries are not only transmitted to the mobile devices, but are also stored on third party servers along the way.
Unlike Blackberry, emoze provides push email service to all mobile devices with a very high level of security without storing the data on its servers.
Having a false sense of security is far worse than having no security at all. Our system deliberately only routes traffic and does NOT duplicate or store any data en route. With emoze, data is pushed from your exchange (or any other emailing program) to your mobile device, maximizing security and privacy levels for the individual and organization. Personal and corporate information remains only on your own secure server and the individual mobile device.
Are you a Blackberry User? What security concerns do you face on the job with your data?
I have come to love EMOZE on my X51v for my PIM/Outlook in my WiFi net at work but I have a question.
I have never used EMOZE with a smartphone/PDAphone that has a longer connection than my limited Wifi on my X51v PDA.
If I had a Windows Mobile 5/6 phone with EMOZE & leave my PC (with EMOZE) on, can keep in sync with my PC from anywhere over data connections instead of Wi-Fi?
The information and use of the French government's misguided decision is a bit misleading, I think. BES uses 256-bit encryption and is about as secure as you can get, correct? I'm not sure about the security of BIS, but one would hope that the French could afford/have the foresight to use BES. Using this for marketing spin seems a bit of a play on peoples lack of understanding of the Blackberry more than anything else. (But I guess that's part of aggressive marketing, right?)

There were a few questions I'd like to respond to First Noiro asks: can keep in sync with my PC from anywhere over data connections instead of Wi-Fi? Absolutely. emoze will use any available connection that available, Data Sync, GPRS or WI-FI all you need is a data plan from your cell phone carrier.
ralarosa asked:Can you use it to connect through OWA?
Yes, You can. This eliminates the need of a PC Connector running on your PC. :approve:
