I was planning on visiting a store about 4-5pm local time to "get in line", but my wife saw the local news last night and the forecasted that local stores would have lines forming upon opening. That said, I decided to go ahead and get an early jump. I really didn't need to though. I was and am 1st in line both at 9am this morning and now at 1:30 after I left to take lunch. I am not too concerned about having a shot now, I am in.

So, right now I am sitting in the store waiting, but I am to be shuttled out to the front when they close at 4pm and I will do the two hour wait no problem.

Barring a technical difficulty, I will have the unboxing online minutes after I receive the phone.

UPDATE:

I just got off the phone with Chris ... he is still in line but he had to lose his #1 position. It was so hot, he needed additional fluids not to mention a little sustance so he went across the street go get food and drink and returned to find he was now in the #6 slot ... but he is there, fighting the good fight for all you folks!!

Of course, we all know this is good for him ... one day in that direct southern sun will cause anyone to lose weight. Chris said he thought he was down to a svelt 185 pounds!

Keep your eyes on the front page ... I would expect to see an iPhone unboxing real soon!!

Yes - my son got in line at 6am this morning. At 1pm there were about 20 people in line. The store has told them that they will be getting 100 iPhones.
