Don't want an iPhone? You have other (better) choices

matt Amid all the iHype, Mobile Gadgeteer Matthew Miller reminds us that there are many very good alternatives for those who don't want to extend their AT&T contract -- or prefer to stick with their current providers. Actually, Matthew notes, most of these alternatives have more phone functionality than the iPhone and are probably better choices for many people.

Like we need him to "remind" people what's already out there? People know what's out there and for many, they want something different.

The N95 by Nokia I hear is extremely impressive, never gave it much thought till I read the reviews. Really unexpected from an "at-a-glance" perspective.

Me personally I'm either going for the Sprint Mogul/Vogue or awaiting price/release on the best phone I have ever laid eyes on in my entire life:

The i-mate ultimate 7150 :D if it's under $700 I will buy it as its truly the sexiest, uncanniest phone ever. I'd die if this ever became Sprint/CDMA.
