I have been looking at Aximsite for a while now, and I am not fond of the changes, per se. I enjoed having a site dedicated the the genre of device I have, and one that took the vast amounts of information for mobile devices and distilled it down to what was valid for me. Mobilitysite seems to be for everyone, and any distilling will have to be done by me. I will have to see, may take too much of my precious time....But thanks for all the work with Aximsite, Chris.
Though some of the "outages" were a little bother-some, overall it has been a pretty smooth process considering all the moving pieces that had to be synchronized.
I like the fact that it is bringing together the best of both worlds. There will be more activity since there will be more user base seeing both worlds.
One thing that I do not like thus far is the fact that my Moderator status was not carried over in the merge.
As there is no new Axim, there will be many of us getting a new device (as I did) and broadening the scope is an important way of retaining and possible getting new members.
I like being able to find all the info in one site...I just noticed the laptop forum, and I suspect I will be utilizing that :) My only small complaint is that the "online members" is no longer in alphabetical order....but like I said...that is small!
I think that this site could not be any better,,but fact is with these contest you just did!, this site, is my homepage, the first thing i turn on when i get up and the last thing i check when i go to sleep, without it i would probllly b stuck with some lame ipod,,i reaallly appreciate you guys and with contest i appreciate you even more
I've loved aximsite from the moment I got my first aximsite (x5). I'm looking forward to seeing the same helpfulness expanded to other devices and learning about the new gadgets around.
I've been an Aximsite user for a couple of years now and wouldn't still be nearly as excited about my Axim if I hadn't discovered so many neat tricks or had so many questions answered through Aximsite.com. As my mobile computer needs evolve and I consider the purchase of other devices, I'm very excited to have the added firepower of Mobilitysite to guide me through the maze. Great work on the site!
I think you got to do it, otherwise Axim owners will end up orphaned prematurely.
I guess in my heart I'm a little miffed, but the change is really because of Dell. There are enough of us here to indicate to developers that this market has not gone away, and I certainly intend to drive my Axim until the wheels fall off it.
It was the only thing that really assured the future of the site. Axims were going the way of the dinosaur, and mobility had the flexibility to be be... mobile

Ok, Let me tell you that I'm a member for a couple of years and I'm always great full of the people in here, the support of the guys and the like.
To me, the changes are necessary to keep alive this site and it allows the site to be on par with the world changes in the PDA/Phone/Mobile market.
The only concern I have is what worries me the most... the period in time that the site was on/off line. Usually this kind ob behavior tends to kill dot coms, I really hope this is not true in this case.
Regards,
Simonuca

Full PPC user right now,I love my Axim
That the sites have been merged is great. That is took so much heartache and effort for you was painful to see for those of us who just come here without giving much back. I like the new look and feel and really appreciate the efforts involved.
Its about getting the right tool for the job... and it's great to see more of the mobile revolution in all its glory
