I think the changes are great. As opposed to hitching yourself to a horse that is now dead (the Axim) you have expanded to other more viable future products.

New site and merging

I really lament that the Axim has been discontinued. IMO, it continues to be better than any smartphone out there. Having said that, the market has decided that this is the future. So, merging of the sites makes ultimate sense. I do like the fact that the forums are merged. Sometimes, though, I feel that not enough is printed on the homepage about partular subjects to help me decide if I want to click and see more.

thanks!

Its great because you can go everywhere for one thing instead of going to many tiny different sites.

I've been on AximSite since the list first started. I have enjoyed the articles use my Axim daily (I am lost with out it). The list has seen some degradation with the reduction of the availablilty of Axim's. I hope those who still have Axim's will continue to use the list.

demise of the Axim :-(

But on the flip side it gave me a great excuse to go get new PPC :-)

Haven't had time to really check out all the changes but a larger user base also means more input from more people. Always a good thing.

I'm fairly new here. I've posted on and off for the past few months when I've had the time but I've lurked longer). Anyway, I like the contests that allow people like me to take part and while I understand having some that only the old timers can take part in, it leaves me with a "not really part of the club" feeling. I'm also not keen on jumping through a lot of hoops (again I don't have a lot of time).

I originally came to this site seeking info on Windows Mobile devices. I'm very soon going to be getting the X7501 (as soon as Amazon has them in stock!) and look forward to learning how to set this thing up and tweak it like I do my computer.

Overall, I like the changes and emphasis on Windows Mobile technology. I really appreciate the quick updates!

It makes sense to merge the sites since the Axim line is ending and since we all like mobile products. The sites combined should be more easily sustainable.

Thanks so much for bringing all this information and all these experts into one site.

I have found answers here to many issues with my Axim X51v.

I've been a big aximsite fan, but it makes sense to merge the sites. Similar content, and with the axim on the decline, it has to happen.

I think the merger will end up being a very good thing. Selfishly speaking, I'm an Axim owner, so even though my PDA is discontinued, the merger will let me keep up with new software better.

It still seems sad that it will no longer be only axim, but at the same time, as I begin my search for my next PDA, the non-Axim info has been great. It's also nice that it will keep the site active as Axim users begin to dwindle, I've got such great support/info here.:approve:

The merge to me now means that I can rid my taskbar or one less link to check on a daily basis. The new look and uniform organization of the site helps me find what I'm looking for too.

Well, Chris, obviously with Dell discontinuing Axim, you could clearly see that AximSite had nowhere to go but to eventual oblivian. So you added in your iPaq/ SmartPhone site to bolster it, smartly figuring that as Axim waned, SmartPhones would wax. However, for now, Axim still dominates this site. When I sign on to visit various Axim forums, I notice that the number of people viewing them far, far, far outnumber those on non-Axim sites. You do a great job and I wish you continued success in future. --Dick Haynes
