I know, there are a lot of folks that have the N800 and want (and I'm not sure why) a retractable keyboard so evidently Nokia might be listening and might be coming up with a new iteration of the N800 (possibly called the N900??). Engadget reported that there were no specs yet but the prototype picture that they got shows a keyboard with relocated navigation controls.
The size of the current version (meaning "thickness") is perfect, easy to carry and comfortable to hold. The addition of a slide out keyboard just might change the experience .... and with the addition of a real keyboard would the current "finger keypad" that appears if you touch the screen disappear? I hope not. The dual keypad that is currently being used (stylus and finger) works ... and works well.
hey, it's a prototype ... many changes in the design will occur before reality sets in and knowing Nokia and their design team, it will work. You know, if it had the ability to have a SIM card then maybe it might not be a bad idea ... hmmm.
