I learned that I should practice; I learned this AFTER I messed up a backup. Please, everyone, take it from me and the company - practice so in an emergency you dont brick your PDA/Phone.
Basically it was all common sense. Any good backup plan should include all of the items listed. What I found interesting was the use of .exe self extracting for backups. Using this and then adding a password will keep my data safe ans secure. The data on my PDA is often extremely sensitive as it deals with patients.
Well, I thought this was going to be one of those post something to get the prize but don't really learn anything type situations, but I really did learn something. The importance of having 4 backups and why.
I learned that if you don't live by the motto: "if it isn't broke, don't fix it", you probably need this to put it back the way it was before you messed it up.
It is important to keep a regular backup available (and at least 4 backups if possible) to restore from in time of need, and Sprite Backup makes these procedures simple and intuitive.
I've learnt that I should keep a dedicated 'backup drive/sd card' and store some on my PC too. I've also learnt that I'm not being paranoid enough, and need to keep more backups!!

PRACTICE:
7. Dedicate a storage card for backup purposes and label it. Keep it separate from your device.
This a good idea so that other date stored on the card doesn't corrupt the backup file. I have never done that. I need this program to help me with this. :)
Good contest. Their Best Practices are hard to find. I learned that I should set a password for my backups. Something I don't currently do. Another Best Practice is to read the manual. How many of us do that!
