If you have a significant other like mine, this is a God sent solution. My wife like the country decor in our home, we are from the south afterall. She is all the time complaining about all my devices laying around using up all the outlets, so I am going to purchase this for her kitchen. This looks like a cute idea for my mom. Maybe even a good DIY project.

They have something like this in my local Sam's Club. The one I saw was in cherry.

I have a few issues in design however.

If I had my way, the bench would be slightly inclined with a lip to prevent things from sliding off. The power cables could be routed from the top as shown above, but also from the bottom so devices could be 'displayed' rightside up.
