Gizmodo Got The Shot!

Giz-exclusive Looks like Gizmodo got a pretty neat picture exclusive with a great shot of the NEW Palm Centro.  It looks spectacular!

Gizmodo did not have any new information other than what has been previously reported by them. We are pretty sure that it will run on EVDO and supposedly pitched at the youth market but when I look at it, I think a lot of folks are going to look closely.

A QWERTY keypad, a touchscreen and a speculated killer price of $99. Sprint has the exclusive for 90 days but then it should be available for other carriers.

LOL it actually looks a lot better given the clear shot this time. unbelievable.

IMHO it would've looked better in 1 solid color or a Black & Orange mix like the sony walkman series.

That does look MUCH better than the 'leaked' pics we'd seen before ...

I don't like it. :)

I do like the "old" Treo style though

Yeah, I don't want one - but looking lots better than the horrible rumor shots before. Maybe they whipped up a little makeover after the Engadget 'intervention'

Why do they need such a huge area for the directional buttons (if that's what it is) or the palm button. Look at the keyboard, it is so tiny. I would hack the middle section and move them into smaller buttons and make screen larger. If has already been done, oh well, $99 not so bad. (Of course that will be with 2YR and 39.99 DATA + $39.99 voice plan.....)

$99 for a QWERTY phone at launch, that's not common... the inflated service package is, however.

It looks an amazing amount better than the cheap white naked plastic looked...
$99 is good.. but depends on what else you have to get. As a PAYG phone it would be amazing value.. if you have to have a 2 year contract then it will die a quick and painless(?) death.

Not if your tired of carring around big, bulky devices. Especially in the case of the Tilt, which is heavier than the existing 8525. You see, us guys don't have bags with us all the time to throw the device into. ;)
