This is indeed good news - I didn't agree with the decision, but it was the decision of the owner & mods so I stood by it - now this change should get some serious talking about the legal ROMs and it should be a lot of fun, if football could do all he could alone, imagine what the combined talents of everyone on Aximsite can do!!! - please don't start arguing about the illegal ROMs...

For example, I want to apply the A17 ROM made by football, that is legal because you have purchused an WM5 license. But, if you want to apply WM6 to your axim, you can but, it is illegal. That is because you have no WM6 license. You could always buy one though, or buy a WM6 device ;) ....
Chris, I think this rule will work out very well. :)

The one thing that concerns me is the amount of users, based on posts at XDA that implies there are lots of users of the "hacked" WM5 rom for x50V that did not purchase a license for this version.

But I guess this would be better discussed in another thread.
I think it would be better to not discuss it at all.
We simply cannot police the activities of our members to this extent, and nor should we. People can police themselves. We are simply making sure that clearly illegal activities are not being discussed or encouraged on this site.

Good leadership and decision making.
It is good to hear some of the background into making this decision, and that lawyers and the big boys (MS) were consulted (so the hammer does not fall on Chris), and that the mods had discussions behind the scenes.
It seems obvious, but a little funny to know that the admins have their own forum.
Keep up the good work, Chris, and admins; you're doing a great job!
