HTC Advantage - fit for navigation?

When the HTC Universal hit the streets, it was a device that many thought was their ideal.  For me, it was darn close to being the ideal device but it had one draw back for me and that was the phone radio ... it just never made it in my neck of the woods.  But the device itself was so spectacular, I continued to use it for virtually everything except as a phone).  It sat next to me in the evening allowing me to surf the web via Wi-Fi and the incredible keyboard made all of my work with it a breeze.  Today I still use it, mainly as a GPS device using TomTom and the occasional time as a phone when I am in an area with exceptional reception.

This year HTC presented the Advantage (also known as Athena, X7500, T-Mobile Ameo etc), and Lutz Bendlin was very curious to see if the device could live up to the heritage of the Universal. Having put the Advantage through some rigorous tests over the last few months, he is now sharing his impressions.

This is a terrific review that has a focus on using the Advantage as a navigational aid, but there are several general comments about the device that make this a great read!
