This version is supposed to have fixed the incompatibility with Card Export II.
I will confirm tonight.

One warning: it requires a new reg code. My reg code from Resco Explorer 2007 (6.10) didn't work with it.

I thought minor updates were supposed to be free, but the reg code failed. Be warned.

Resco's code is only good for a year from purchase. If you update 1 year and a day from purchase you will need to pay for an upgrade.

But a failed regcode doesn't necessarily mean the upgrade isn't free.
Resco changes their codes more than any company I know.
Have them e-mail you your current codes and if you qualify, you'll get a new code for the new version.

From their Support page:

We use to change the unlock codes due to the software protection reasons from time to time.

Minor upgrades (e.g. 2.10 > 2.20) usually preserve existing registration and no unlock code is needed. (Exceptions are possible.)

However, for a major upgrade (e.g. 2.40 > 3.10) you can expect that a new unlock code will be needed.
The problem is that 6.10 > 6.15 SHOULD qualify under 'minor' upgrade. And here, it doesn't... but maybe that's my fault for buying the utility pack.

Well, my code doesn't work either and I purchased this month.
I requested that my codes be resent and they sent the same invalid month-old code.
Gotta be a bug and I'm sure Resco will make it right but it is a pain.

Look a little farther down the page:

But even in this case you are still entitled to free upgrades within 1-year period: You can retrieve new code automatically or email our support.
Are the upgrades free?

The upgrades are free for 1 year.
To prevent the misunderstanding: All the versions, that you installed within this 1-year time frame, are timely unlimited.
After this period you get 50% discount. For this you need a special discount code that you can receive this way:
Now I played with text size to make it plain, but resco has always had this policy. If you bought the software more than a year ago it is NOT a free upgrade. I believe you can get it for half price but it is not free.

This thread is about Resco Explorer 2007, which was released in April of this year.
It is now September.
I don't know how your calendar works but by mine, everyone who bought Explorer 2007 should be entitled to a free upgrade.

At the same time, they indicate minor upgrades should still use the same registration information, or you can get a new code for them.

I don't mind shelling out more for it - except that the upgrade code I got from the email doesn't work with the store I bought it from, because that store decided to change all their software around... and you can probably guess which store, given only one of them's completely screwed around with their frontend, putting past purchases into a 'digital locker' which means I can't buy the software with the upgrade code.

There does seem to be something amiss here. If I run the Resco Update utility, it tells me there are no updates for Resco Explorer 2007 v6.10. I own a copy (2 actually) of Resco Explorer, one from February of this year and the other from April of this year (when I did my first Aximsite review of this very product), so I should definitely qualify, and as the 2007 version was release I think in either late April or early May, everyone who purchased that version this year should qualify. I downloaded the latest version of 6.15, installed it, and attempted to execute a registration with my 2007 code (and even with my 2005 code) and that did not work. I requested Resco to resend me my latest reg code and that did not work either. It told me my owner name did not match my registration code, and for some reason I haven't received a code that works with v.6.15. I've emailed their support team for clarification.

I've noticed the same thing about the updater. It does not show version 6.15. Not sure what is up with that. Breley, if you find anything, let us know.

I bough Explorer 2005 this time last year, so I am probably just on the cusp of needing to pay 50%

Is it possible the press release does not match their server updates?

I would say it is highly probably. :)
