"The White-headed Capuchin (Cebus capucinus), also known as the White-faced Capuchin or White-throated Capuchin, is a small New World monkey of the family Cebidae, subfamily Cebinae. Native to the forests of South and Central America, White-throated Capuchins are important to rainforest ecology by their role in dispersing seeds and pollen.
Among the best known monkeys, White-headed Capuchins are recognized as the typical companion to the organ grinder and for the role of "Marcel" in the popular television series Friends. They are highly intelligent monkeys and have been trained as assistants for paraplegic persons."

I had already researched and have to guess that it is White-headed Capuchin, Cebus capucinus, so I am with the majority. Extremely difficult to compare though because of his outsize ears and the expression, et al....perhaps he's a baby with the big ears.
Britta (no PDA to show, sorry)
To win, let's involve Frenchy's avatar, shall we? Post the genus and species of his monkey avatar for a chance to win the bag.
Cebidae includes the woolly, capuchin, and spider monkeys.
And yours looks similar to the Capuchin version, with opera glasses much like those seen of you click here.
Can't say much about the necklace type, or the cape that your avatar has on however.

I have to agree with everyone else on what kind of monkey it is.
Genus: Cebus
Species: Cebus capucinus (I think thats the correct way to write the species or maybe its just capucinus)
On a side note is Proporta's website down? I figured I would check out the bag since I could use a gadget bag and I have been trying for a little while now and it keeps timing out.
He is obviously a ” Frenchus Cercopithecidae ” which derives from the Quebecer family of primates that has migrated to the U.S. of A.
