Proporta Gadget Bag Contest

In honor of our friend Frenchy, back from his hiatus, who along with his bespectacled monkey avatar is quite the ubiquitous fixture, megaposter and administrator here at Aximsite, Warthog and I would like to dedicate this contest to his returning back to active duty.:approve:

Therefore, without further ado, this week's contest prize is a Proporta Gadget Bag. I did a review of this handy bag back in May, and that review, if you want to know more about the bag, can be found here.

To win, let's involve Frenchy's avatar, shall we? Post the genus and species of his monkey avatar for a chance to win the bag.
  • Must have 5+ posts on the sites to win
  • Staff may participate
  • One post per member
The winner will be randomly selected from the pool of correct answers. Good luck!

Deadline: Midnight EST (GMT-5), Monday, October 15, 2007

Many thanks to the kind people at Proporta for donating the bag.

Actually, I think you will find it is actually the seldom seen "Frenchicus Post-a-lotta bespectularis". Its only known natural habitat is the AximSite, where it proliferates much information and helps other primates with difficulties. Honestly!

That would be a White-headed Capuchin. Not fronted. It's classified as genus Cebus and is the only genus of the subfamily Cebinae. :)

They are considered one of the most intelligent monkeys. I guess that's why Frenchy picked it.

After some research I found his Bio online. Here is what he says about himself.

I am 57 years old and 1,930,400,000 nanometres tall. Until recently I worked at London Zoo, artificially inseminating aardvarks. I was fired when they discovered the process was not as artificial as it should be. They have very cute faces. Prior to that I was employed as toilet paper in a swanky London hotel. Now, the only work I can find is waxing the moustaches of Argentinean sailors in Trafalgar Square. Whilst the money is good, the hours are less so and my Spanish is patchy at best, often leading to violent clashes over incorrectly applied cat wax and conflicting opinions over the pronunciation of "Las Islas Malvinas".

My ambition is to write things that other people find funny. I am a monkey.

He did not tell his genus and species

what a monkey!!

That is a white-headed capuchin monkey, Cebus capucinus. Although it's tough to be sure exactly which sub-type of capuchin is in the picture, what with the shaved down face and the glasses

doesn't the presence of "glasses" on a Cebus capucinus confirm the role of an "intelligent designer" in what science blindly assumes in its "theory" of evolution...

Oh, wait. It flings poo. Nevermind.
