Must Read for Sprint Users

Sal Cangeloso at Geek.com has done a Sprint Smartphone Shootout. If you use the Sprint Network and you want to get a new phone with plenty of power, this is a must read. I can't say I am happy with Sal's verdict, but hey... he's human. Everyone makes mistakes. (j/k Sal)

Choosing the right mobile phone is never easy, and it you have to cope with the limitations of CDMA service it can be downright frustrating. While they may not be as exciting as some of the GSM models that we have been reading about, Sprint does have a few solid products to choose from. Picking one of their offerings is going to hinge mainly on user's requirements (and often that of the business they work for) but, all things being equal, the 8830 was the winner here. It offers the all-round best package of performance, features, and design and is the cheapest phone in the test. Despite having the largest price tag, the Mogul is the next best of the group, though this phone loses points because great follow-up devices are on the way. While the Palm 755p is not at all a bad phone it is very much ready for an overhaul, or at least a big drop in the price. It will appeal to dedicated Palm users and people who want to keep their interactions with their cell phone as simple as possible, but more demanding users will probably be frustrated by the phone's size as well as the operating system.
