This really is a beautiful app. I would encourage users unfamiliar with it to at least give the trial app a spin. Personally I like to jump (via Wisbar 3) between iLaunch/PocketBreeze and Spb PocketPlus. I'm going to have to take a look at Spb Diary now too.
I'm a sucker for bigger, flashier icons and such...
I'm a big mark for SBSH apps, but I'm not closeminded about it.
There are a few things with iLauncher that need to be debugged and there hasn't been much in the way of updates for a while with it (although I do see activity in the development forums, so that may change soon)
There are a number of things in this release of P+ that look very interesting, although about twice as expensive as iLauncher. Perhaps SPB would consider a Mobilitysite discount such as what SBSH and other vendors have done (see my sig for the link). SPB does have a generic multi-product discount however.
I'll have to give this trial a spin

I also lean towards SBSH, but I am open to trying new software. So far this version of P+ is working great except it won't play well with Pocket Weather. This is a real bummer. I suppose its to much to ask. Does anyone else have this issue??????
Correction - SPB P+ works ok with Pocket Weather (in a tab) or SPB P+ works ok with Pocket breeze (in a tab). SPB P+ has issues with PW and PB in 2 tabs at the same time.

Thoughts?
Same issue here. It won't play nice with PB in a tab at all, not just with PB and Weather. I ended up going into safe mode and uninstalling P+ and reinstalling again. I'm putting P+ INTO PB instead until they get along. I kinda like P+ now over iLauncher. (Screen redraw and freeze issues with P+ with PB in it)
BTW--What ever happened to the shortcuts to the Control Panels?! I like them for my button commands. AND--why does it rotate to landscape everytime I soft-reset?

How do you upgrade? Is it necessary to uninstall 3.2 and then make a clean 4.0 install - and then do all the setting up again?
<<<
There are two options:
1. Just install Spb Pocket Plus 4.0 over your Spb Pocket Plus 3.2 and all your settings will be saved.
I used this method and now have a problem.
Because I had the repeating alarm feature turned on in 3.2, it retained that setting although the feature has been removed from 4.0.
Now I get a notification error with every alarm saying that Plusreminder.exe can not be found.
I extracted that .EXE from the 3.2 CAB file and put it in my Windows folder to get rid of the error (although the repeating alarm feature still doesn't work) but it looks like the uninstall/install process needs some work.

I tried the trial from the aximsite store, and got an e-mail offering a 15% discount.
I decided not to buy though, takes up too much screen space.

there is an option to hide the drop down screen, so it only uses the space of the single row of icons... just like MobileShell

So far I am liking this new version, overall. I have a question about smart scroll. SS seems to work great in IE. It doesn’t work in Pocket Informant – I am guessing it only works in outlook. Has anyone been able to get SS to work properly in file explorer? I am having a hard time with it. Instead of smart scrolling, it keeps selecting the files. I thought I would ask here first and then over on SPB fourms.
Beautiful application! I gave it try and after 10 minutes bought an upgrade. The tabs in IE are very cool.
Thank you, Galina, for kind words. This is one of the features that I pesonly use every day :)

Thank you for this feedback! We will test this scenario. Spb Pocket Plus as well as other Spb Today plug-ins use "SmartToday" technology that allows embedding one plug-ins to others and avoid potential problems in such scenarios that could happen with plug-ins that do not use this technology. We are going to publish a document for third-party developers that describe how to use it so that other plug-ins can work well. Nowdays if they use direct screen access or something like that there could be problems in embedding them as tabs.

What kind of shortcuts do you mean? If you need to open Control Pannel applets using hardware buttons you can still use Start->Settings->Personal->Buttons to assign them.
We placed shortcuts in Spb Pocket Plus 3.2 to give ability to assign Spb Pocket Plus actions to hardware buttons. In Spb Pocket Plus 4.0 we found a technical way to assign these actions without creating shortcut files (so your Start->Programs folder is cleaner). Those who need these actions for using in other applicstions like Microsoft Voice Command we created a special utility that will create corresponding shortcuts files like in Plus 3.2. You can download it from: Spb Club :: View topic - Shortcut files to Spb Pocket Plus actions [beta]

AND--why does it rotate to landscape everytime I soft-reset?
Do you mean the whole device is rotated to landscape? Could you please contact our support with more information (spbsoftwarehouse.com/products/pocketplus/support.html). We have tested Spb Pocket Plus a lot and never heard about such problem. We will really appreciate your help. From what I know about Spb Pocket Plus code I do not see how it could be a reason for that.

Spb Pocket Plus Today plug-in is very flexible. You can configure it to take as little as 20 pixels in height by using small tab icon mode and autohide tab content mode. Something like on this picture:
