Having assessed Pocket Plus I decided that I preferrd SBSK PocketBreeze and iLauncher.
So I tried to remove Pocket Plus by going to Settings\System\Remove Programs. This did not work. The "wait" clock rotated for over 20 minutes but P+ was still not removed.
This is the only program that I have been unable to remove using this method. Has anyone else had the same problem?
I did manage to remove it using SK Tools though.

Vassili,
Great software! Thank you for the shortcuts. I love them from 3.2 to use with 3rd party button mappings, especially the ones to create new documents when you open PlanMaker or TextMaker.
Can you publish more smart scroll command when we edit the registry for other programs to use the smart scroll feature? I got Resco File Explorer to work, TCPMP and Lexipedia using WCE_SysListView32 or Webview, but unsuccessful with other programs. Thanks!

this is definately a step in the right direction!
i have been using spb mobile shell because of the big tabs, and now spb pp+ has the big tabs and it can integrate the mobile shell tabs so it's perfect!
personally i like the big icons because it makes using the pda/phone with fingers much easier.
smaller memory footprint is a definate plus in windows mobile programs, given the pathetic amount of available ram left after loading various plugins.
strongly recommend the program.

Any way to make the tabs a little more pleasing to the eye?

In the old versions, you could adjust the width of the tabs, on the Today screen, this option is now replaced by only two sizes of tabs (too big or too small), that is not to my liking, since I use 8 tabs, 5 for programe shortcuts, with 7 big icons in each, and 3 for other Spb programes (Weather, Backup, and GPRS monitor).
If I chose small tabs, the 8 tabs only fill half the line, and are too small for "No stylus" use, but if I chose big tabs, there's only room for 6 of them, that's not good imo.
OK, I could get used to another setup, but why not just give me the option from v.3.X, "Equal size for all tabs"?
Allso the shortcut for Spb Time, got the icon for the "Tips and Tricks" programe, hmmmm.

I've thoroughly tested the suite in this respect (see the results in the Button Enhancer Bible) and was absolutely pleased with the results (~0% CPU time and <200k memory footpritnt, 50k of which is that of SafeMode.)

Hi all
I have been using SPB products for ages, however I stopped using P+ and was using iLauncher but have now gone back to Spb Pocket Plus 4.0 as I found the set up for iLauncher was just to much, the really reason I had iLauncher was the shortcut labels & TGA icons. Now that P+ has labels I was converted again... What do I like about it... were do I start...
Integration
Using more than one plug-ins per tab, for my main tab I have Spb Dairy and Spb Weather, this is a great combo for me as I get to see up and coming appointments / tasks I have and a good idea on what the weather is like for the rest of the week. (even my wife has a quick look at the weather as well and she is no geek lol).
Here is a pic of my main tab as I stated before with Spb Dairy and Spb Weather.
Another integration I have is Spb Insight, showing the Aximsite RSS feed of course, with a few main icons / shortcuts.
For my other tabs I have mainly shortcuts and system details
Large Tabs
I also have Spb Mobile Shell installed and this was my main container, until P+ 4.0 was released and now that has become my container, I still have Mobile Shell installed as I really like the access to the new menu system (one finger navigation).
Shortcut Labels
As I stated at the beginning, now that P+ 4.0 has the ability to show shortcut icon labels, makes it easier to know what each shortcut is (especially when you do not use the default icon).
Smart Scrolling & Panning
Just about every one is jumping on the band wagon with the latest and greats fad scrolling, but to me Spb has finally bought it to the Pocket PC, with P+ I am now able to scroll through my contacts, Insight RSS articles, PIE (with Panning, which is new).
When used with other Spb products in MY view it is the best and most robust integration of applications to make MY day that much easier.
Cheers
Jace

Hi guys,
First off, let me extend my congratulations to SPB for a great upgrade. There's definitely a few problems and "WTF!*#@"s" with the new version which I'll explain below.
For a long time, SPB PP users had problems with icons not showing correctly. When 3.2 was installed on the SD card, icons would load, but it would freeze up something. IIRC, Alec or Alex (sp?) @ SPB confirmed this behavior as normal and recommended a different PDA ( ). Installed on BIS, it would load, but the icons wouldn't load sometimes and show "generic" white or folder icons instead. The workaround was the "refresh tabs" entry that was introduced in 3.2
I am very sorry to say that this feature has been removed from 4.0. WHY it was removed remains a mystery. When 4.0 is installed on the SD card, it just stays there at startup saying "Loading PP...". When on BIS, similarly to 3.2, some icons would not load. However, there's no refresh tabs.
Overall, SPB PP 4.0 is faster, more beautiful, less memory hog. With that said WHAT WERE YOU GUYS THINKING when you removed the refresh tabs? That was the ONLY avenue for the people who experienced the icon bug.
That small, yet vital point prevents me from going to 4.0. I hope SPB takes this issue seriously and issues an update/patch for it.
EDIT: Apparently Alexander Shalin @ SPB is aware of this issue and is going to release 4.0.1 soon to fix it.

SPB - is there any word as to when the update is coming?

There's a clash with WA3 if you use the Pocket Plus battery meter and set it to display "large bar" or "small bar".
The clash is that Pocket Plus's built-in applets stop functioning.
If you set the battery meter to display "icon" then you'll lose the battery meter completely (it will be hidden behind WA3) but at least the applets will work.
This is in both the released version 4.0 and the 4.0.1 beta 2 build of Pocket Plus.

My WA3 battery bar is disabled and others on the WA3 board are having the same problem.
Weird.......
Which applets have you tried?
Screen-Toggle and Soft-Reset definitely quit working for me.

SPB applets? Via PP, I have three buttons assigned to 1) screen rotate, 2) calculator and 3) Today - they all seem to work. I don't use SPB's 'X', I use the one from WA. FYI, I have all other SPB features enabled. Sorry, I'm not sure how to use applets on WA3.
