Apple Offers DRM Free Tracks for $.99

itunes_99

It's ok to say something nice about Apple, right?  Well, they dropped the price of their DRM free tracks to match the price they were selling them before they went Digital Rights Management Free.  Per Steve Jobs, "It's been very popular with our customers, and we're making it even more affordable."

Other companies are offering DRM free tunes, such as Amazon.com, so perhaps that played into Apple's decision as well.  But regardless, Apple is the 3rd largest music retailer in the US, so they must be onto something.

Here's my question, what happens to all those tunes that were bought for $.99 before they became DRM free?  Can customers get credit:)
