I need this mostly because my gps software is almost 4 years old, and if I follow the guidance to the letter, I may end up in a lake like Michael Scott. Plus, I made an unwise financial decision and started grad school, so now if I have to buy my own, it's top ramen for a week.
I am almost done with my BA in Elementary Education and will soon have my own classroom. In addition to finding my way to my new school this would be a wonderful tool in the classroom to show students cardinal directions, distances, locations of important historical sites both local and out of state. It could be used in math for calculating distances; in social studies for map reading skills, in language arts as a writing prompt - say a trip to Washington D.C., and last but certainly not least, it can help me find a safe haven during my days off! :approve:

VGPS-700 and Odyssey Mobile Navigation software bundle
Hi,
I travel all over the US working on risk assessments of our Nations infrastructure (levees and dams), attending meetings, and working with consultants. Would be great to get a little help finding my way around...
I have just about every other type of accessory for my X51v except a GPS solution. This looks like a very nice and attractive solution that would give me navigation capability while in my car. So much better than looking up a destination on MapQuest, printing out a set of directions, and trying to read those directions while driving on the freeway. :hide:
I am a 35 YO mother of 2 toddlers. I operated my own graphic and web design home business (Freestyle Graphics & Web Design | HOME) until a year and a half ago. I became ill and was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus and Fibromyalgia.
Apparantly the Lupus is attacking my brain. I am spending alot of time in the hospital and University of Washington (Seattle) medical center.
My memory and cognitive dysfunction is so horrible at times I can actually pull a spoon out of the drawer for cereal, turn around and forget why I am holding a spoon. Imagine if I ever got lost! With 2 kids!
Anyway, I purchased an Axim to remind me of the many appointments and many pills I need to take which is helpful, but this GPS sounds like a great tool for me to have especially when navigating the bigger cities for treatment and the Rheumatology conferences and medical seminars I've gone to and plan on attending if health permits!
I've had www.montanalupus.org ready to go for a while, but if you know anything about lupus -- I will get to it when I can stay awake for more than a few hours. Thanks for listening...
