Evidently the Sidekick Slide has been powering off if the slide door is opened or closed.  So the good news is T-Mobile is pulling the Slide to make sure those that buy devices can be sure it works.  Although there has been no reason given for the cause of the issue, T-Mobile has been taking steps to determine the cause.  Customers that are experiencing issues can contact T-Mobile for to discuss options.  And the BETTER NEWS is, according to The BGR, that any Sidekick Slide owners that report the power issue will receive a free upgrade to the Sidekick LX with free express shipping. Nice move T-Mobile!
