Favorite moment: When I read on this site that you could actually install a hacked version of WM6 onto the x50v and move on from the horribly slow and somewhat buggy WM5 they shoehorned onto the device the first time.

My favorite moment came after a few days after I got my Axim x51v. I was looking for a site with some information about this wonderful device and I discovered this one.

The best Aximsite moment is still ongoing:

Classfully remaining relevent in the PPC/Smartphone world even after its main-topic product has been discontinued and is slowly leaving our pockets.

Easy - Finding Widcomm and other Solutions

Title says it. Amixsite has always been the destination for solutions for my PDA. Great community. They helped me maximize the use of my x51v and when I move on, and we all eventually will, they will help me select my next device.

I always seem to find that point of departure from once piece of hardware to the next. I'm an old guy. My first computer was a Timex 2068 and I was trying to justify the $800 for an attachable 5.25 inch flopply. So I moved on to a PC clone. Several transitions since then. Soon it will be now my x51v.

I know this sounds contrived and a bit selfish....
but my favorite day around here was the day I discovered this site.
I was a total n00b, lost and frustrated with my old Axim X5 away at grad school
and didn't know where to go or what to do.
This site totally changed everything for me, and then for my dad, friends as well.
Thanks again for everything ppl...

My favorite moment was when I signed up. It was a relief to find a place where I could get answers to my problems quite easily.

I bought a used X50v off ebay and it was faulty (touchscreen...). I was desperately looking for a solution; I needed the PDA to serve us on our trip to Europe as a navigation system. Eventually I got it repaired (the whole LCD was replaced). Since then I had a few other issues, but found out that other people had had the same problems before, therefore there was no reason to ask.

I might have gathered some experience now to post as well as lurk...

Regards,
Csanad

My favorite moment was when I successfully "convinced" Dell to replace my x50v with wm5 upgrade to a x51v by following the advice and stategies found on Aximsite.

My most memorable Axim site moment was the day that Dell announced the final death of the Axim. I spoke to Chris that day over the phone and he did a phenominal job of reassuring site members that his resource wasn't going to evaporate right away.

Great Job, Chris!!

My most memorable Mobility site moment was the day that Chris had Judie from Gear Diary and one other person (forget their name and I'm MORTIFIED) appear on the Mobility Site Minute. That was a first, and I was also on the phone with Chris the day he posted that Podcast. Also very cool!!
