5th Birthday Contest - iPod Classic 80

normal_ipodclassicvszune2_1 I had a rough end of last week, followed by a weekend mostly in the bed (this damn weather), so I was unable to get this contest up in a timely manner.

Up for grabs is the prop I used in this video. It works still, and I only used it for some battery tests and such. Stevenator is also reviewing the iPod Classic 80 too. Check out his unboxing photos here.

The Prize:
(1) Apple iPod Classic 80 (Photo to the right is the actual prize. Just the iPod though, i'm keeping my Zune 80)

How to win:
3 Parts...

  • Part 1 - Make a post here telling us what player you are using now and why you'd like to have 80gb Hard Drive Player Goodness.
  • Part 2 - Agree not to sell the iPod Classic 80 for at least 3 months :)
  • Part 3 - Keep your eye on the MOBILITYSITE RSS FEED for the winner to be announced.

I will select one winner at random from the entries and announce it in the Mobilitysite RSS Feed.

Ps. We have exciting news coming up to help you keep up with your RSS Feeds.

The rules:

  • 1 post per member, more than one post will disqualify.
  • Staff can participate
  • This device is not "brand" new, lightly used.
  • I reserve the right to change the rules to ensure fairness of the contest.

The Deadline:

  • December 27, 2007

I'm currently using an 80bg 5.5G Ipod Video.

I'd like a "Classic" so that I can give it to my wife so that I can get some goodwill for when I upgrade my desktop computer! I'd like to see her try and talk me out of it THEN! :)

Of course it would not be sold - I am too attached to my gadgets to sell them before I find them obsolete (therefore, at least 3 months ).

I would love to have the iPod because my current "player" is my CD and radio in the car.

I wouldn't sell it, because it would be my first.

Thanks.

I'd love to win because I'd love to give my daughter my iPod Nano. I've resorted to my iPhone most of the time, simply because I can't load video on the Nano and I work overnight which requires me to have some video action close at hand for those slow nights.

Promise I won't sell it ... not for a looong time.

And of course I'll watch the RSS feed. Been watching it for longer than I can remember anyway

Aximsitex5icon Ipod 80 Gb

Currently I do not own an MP3 Player. I do however use my Ax to play work related audio files such as my professional devolopment guide, but I really can't use my Ax while out doing runs. I would like the Ipod so that I could take music more easily on the go with me, and 80 Gb could be a substantal amount. There would be no way that I would sell it. When I get my hands on a nice piece of tech, or anything that I find interesting I keep it on hand and use it when I can.... Just found my wife an old Sony Clie not the top of the line, but the right price for me FREE.

My hopes for an mp3 player

Well, I think an ipod classic could well replace my sony walkman. :D I get a lot of crap for having it.. I wonder why? Well, I guess the main reason I want it is so I can get all my cd's onto one device... it'd be great. Oh, and I wont sell it!

I currently use my Dell Axim X5, with a 4 GB CF card. It doesn't hold very much with all the other stuff on it, so I'd use the iPod to KEEP stuff on, rather than having to swap things around so much.
As for keeping it, I would, and probably just figure out how to use it and get used to int in three months.

Thanks again for the fun Chris.

Wow 80 Gb, new portable hard drive, don't need it for music, got three older ones for that. Purely for data and photographs, then I could clean up my poor old laptop

I used to have an iPod 30 gig, which was stolen from my car (they tried to take the whole car, but were left with just the iPod (and my stereo, lol). I used to have an iPod shuffle - I leant that to one of the youth I work with, and he lost it... So ya, I would really really love a new iPod :)

I'm using the Samsung YP-T9 2GB player because it was a good price and it's small... BUT, with the Apple iPod Classic 80, I could put every single cd I own and then some on it with room to spare which is why I want one! I've never owned an iPod either.

RSS feed is in my daily reading and I never sell any of my toys!
