How much do you pay?

I forgot to pay my AT&T Bill for a couple weeks and actually got billed for the next month already. I went to pay and the amount startled me a bit. For 2 months, my bill was like $450. That got me thinking, how much does the average household spend on cell phone a month?

My cell bills have been cut in half in the last 6 months. I used to pay about $40/mo to Verizon, T-Mobile, and Sprint on top of my $200/mo AT&T bill. I have let those contracts run out and now I just have my main account.

Why so much? I have 4 phones and a laptop connect package on my account. This is with a nice $20 iPhone Data Plan (Even though I don't use the iPhone all the time). One problem with the iPhone Data plan is that when I am using another phone, I cannot get voicemail. The visual voicemail is bundled in this data plan and cannot be turned off unless you get our of the iPhone Data Plan. Oh well.

So, what do you spend a month for Cell Service and Data Plans?

My monthly bill is roughly $150/month. That includes voice and unlimited data on my Sprint (HTC Mogul), and 3 Verizon phones for my wife and daughters with shared voice and texting.

G'day
I'm just boring and cheap - about AUD12.oo/month on average,$10 of that for the connection ;-> It's a "taxi-phone" turned on about 40-50 hours/year and most of that's one holiday weekend. Waiting until data plans get cheap enough for reasonable usage here and I find a PDA/phone with the usefulness of my Axim.

Cheers

My cell service (Verizon) costs me about $150/month for our 4 phone lines. That's with a small discount offered through my company. Pretty soon my 2 daughters will want to get their own service so that will drive my cost down. The only "data" plan on the cell phones is the text-messaging. I simply don't feel like I (we) have to be "online" 24x7 - we can go to our computers if we want to be online.

We pay about $80 for 2 lines but it doesn't have anything special like data packages on it. I guess I am waiting for a great pda/phone to come out or when my contract runs out I'll have to seriously look at the iphone.

My T-Mobile bill

Well, I think cell phone company's are totalling making a killing on all of us and with that being said, it is a wonder they are not more nice to us just to keep our business. I have a family my faves plan, data for two phones and unlimited messaging package with T-Mobile and my bill is around $180 a month. Seems way to high to me, but what other choices do we have? Unless you do the Sprint SERO plan, but I dispise Sprint over all others and will never have service with them, so alas, stuck with paying high bills.

My BT Mobile bill is around £42/month ($84?) plus a wireless roaming package with the same company (BT Openzone) is another £5.87/month ($11?): both packages come to around £50/month.

Then, there is Mrs Jogga and Baby Jogga which will be as much again.

Now it's totaled up, someone's 'phone will have to go

My T-Mobile bill is about $110 a month and that includes 1500 minutes, unlimited text message, picture message, and data INCLUDING tethering. Take the hint AT&T, your plans are crazy confusing and expensive.

Mrs Box has 2 phones, each cost 20 euro (28us) a month flat rate unlimited calls and data.
I have 2, one costs 20 euro the other averages around 500GBP (1000us) per month. That is the one my company supplies and pays for, 90% of the calls are incoming.
I also use Skype and Jajah for nearly all my personal calls, so that adds about another 20 bucks a year.

I use Verizon and have 700 voice minutes, 2 phones with one using a data plan. The data phone is a Blackberry with the unlimited BB data plan. The other phone is for my wife. No text plans and we are spending around $120 with taxes.

Mine is a little less than $50 a month for my line with 450 minutes. Although last month I went over my minutes by one hour and my bill was $80.
