FORD Sync Demo at CES 2008

Here is a really good video showing the Ford Sync feature installed in a, of course, Ford.

Video: Ford Sync Demo at CES 2008

Ok, it's a good video, it's a good feature to have in any card but... I still think that FORD means Fix Or Repair Daily. The last FORD I owned was about 8 years ago and after paying more than 1500 dollars in just one year of repairs and fixes I swore not to buy any more a FORD or any other made in USA car. Sorry Microsoft but you got the wrong partner.

I couldn't disagree more with your assessment of Ford products. I bought a 2002 Escape and was expecting problems so purchased an extended warranty for it. I never had occasion to use the warranty and just loved the vehicle. In fact, I loved it so much that when it came time to buy a new car last month, I bought a 2008 Escape, which I love even more because of the upgraded electronics capabilities. There has been a big improvement in Ford quality control over the past few years, so just keep an open mind.

Got to agree with Piperpilot. We have an Escape and 2 Explorers and have never had any issues. I hope the Sync is an option in my next Ford truck. It is a pretty cool for a Microsoft device.

My experience is similar to the previous posters. My taurus from the early 90's lived a short life, but in stark contrast my 2 most recent vehicles a ford freestar minivan and a ford fusion have both been an absolute pleasure. The 08' fusion sel has sync built in, and from day one I have loved it. The manufacturing quality has gone up quite a lot in the last 5-10 years.
