A Promising Browser for Windows Mobile - Skyfire

The power of Windows Mobile is not what is included, it's the ability to customize and tweak. I don't think I had to tell you all that though. Anyhow, one thing we can all agree on is that PIE is a little old and tired. No flash support, etc... There is a new mobile browser in public demo for Windows Mobile now. It's called Skyfire. Check out the video demo...

For more info and to download, check out Skyfire.com

Is it only for Windows Mobile Phones? or can it work on a PocketPC (such as a Dell Axim X51v)?

from their website, you have to sign up for beta, the requirement is that you have a mobile phone number...

although it sez it support windows mobile 5,6 phone both touchscreen and touchless.

so in theory, it will support pda but they don't want to make it available.

maybe you can only download the app via cellphone network...

only time will tell...

It seems like there server is about to crash. Their page is loading very slowly it also causes the browser to freeze no matter which browser I use. IE, Firefox.

Since Skyfire is server dependent this does not bode well for this browser especially if it becomes popular.

EDIT: It seems to back working.

HP IPAQ 211: WAD, WA, PocketPlus, PocketWeather, MemMaid, Pocketmusic, etc.
