Quite simply, it would bring new life back to my Axim as I would be able to share memory cards between it and my HTC touch. As a USB host, I could use it to hold more music and maps and use it through my phone via bluetooth to store photos and videos.
Most of all I would like to connect with my USB 3G-modem. Imagine a X51V with a HSDPA 7,2 Mbit/s connection, everywhere (almost), anytime, at a flat rate!
This would make one more step to the end of using my computer. ENDLESS storage and transfering with thumb drives, HDD, cameras and maybe even a printer.
The SolarExpress PDA II Single Port USB Host CF Card would grant me the freedom of conectivity.
There are so many things I'd like to do with it...Type in Textmaker using a fully featured keyboard and just print on my regular printer when I'm done, or just chat with MSN Messenger...
View the pictures on my camera's 8GB HDSD card or just plug my camera directly to my pda, what the hell.
Bundled up with my x50v's VGA out, we could do wonders... Specially if we consider the support for portable drives... hehe :)

I would put it to use transferring files between my device and laptop, as my laptop's built-in card reader cannot handle my newer larger memory cards. I would also get an external DVD drive, or CD burner, for added functionality. And it would make retrieving files from off computers that don't have ActiveSync installed so much easier, no need to eject my memory card, and use an adapter anymore. I have been searching for a USB to CF adapter for years, and finally, here is one that looks like it fits the bill!
I would use this thing first to create world peace then I would take over the world.. did I say that out loud how foolish of me. Of course I was just kidding I would do good things with it I promise. Oh please can I have one, I will do anything to posess such a wonderful device.
Where to begin? With a SolarExpress PDA II CF USB card, I'd connect a full-sized keyboard and work on my novel anytime, anywhere. Then I'd remove the keyboard and attach a mini-USB hard drive to back up those files and any others I deem worthy of saving. Then I might unplug the backup drive and plug in a hard-drive containing the latest Harry Potter movie in Mandarin Chinese. When I grew tired of the movie, I'd unplug it, plug in the mini to normal-size USB adapter and plug the other end into my printer and print out my day's work so I could read how it flows on paper, correct typos and adjust style elements so that the chapter reads smoothly. Then I'd unplug everything from the CF card, put my iPAQ 211 on a charging cable and go to bed.
USB host? What can't you do with that? Utilization of external hard drives is a biggie, but most important for me would be quick editing of Word files on a flash drive before class, or doing everything on my Ax because I procrastinated.
