Woah. I'd probably mostly use it for a keyboard so I can chat easier. I'd also use it to store movies/shows ect also for watching on the go. It looks like a good idea. I had no idea there was such a device.
Wow this thing is amazing. I did not even know something like this existed. I would most certainly use this to connect with an external drive. I could hook my digital camera directly to my Ax and down load pictures while I am traveling instead of waiting until I get back home to my desktop
I'd use the axim as a remote for my hi-fi system......... for changing tracks and programing playlists and setting my hard drive video............. I want one!

This card would make it easier for me to download songs and word files from my Vista computer to my X51v. Also transfering word doc's. created on the PDA would be easier.
> tell us how you would utilize the SEPDA II on your Axim or iPAQ.
I'd use it to make my X50 even more of a "miniature laptop". I travel a lot, and often wish I could hook up to a larger hard drive to work with client's files, printers, etc. It would make working with photographs a lot easier; with an external hard drive I could use the PDA as a full backup and minor editing solution for digital photography (with no USB port, I can edit on the PDA, but can't really use it for backups).
I would use it for any USB Device. Back up onto external devices. USB Broadband connection, USB Printing, scanning. And watch movies and pictures on the palm. The possiblities are almost endless
I made some time ago one jacket for my X50v (thanks afarre for the help) with serial port, VGA out, one 3 port USB hub and a 5GB microdrive with a CF reader. Unfortunately the CF USB host card died and i can´t use the jacket
The SolarExpressII could be perfect to revive my jacket and use all the inside potential.
So far everyone has talked about using it with flash drives, hard drives and expanding their storage... those are GREAT ideas, I'll be connecting my 16GB Corsair flash voyager for sure! We just have to watch the power consumption. the SolarExpress supports up to 5V, 200mA (0.2A). most ext hard drives will draw more power than that requiring me to chain myself to the wall with a power cord... bye bye portability.. pout...
I would be connecting a USB bar code scanner to catalog all my DVDs, Music CDs, Software CDs and Books. Record serial numbers for warranty tracking, build a grocery store database for faster shopping, inventory all my computer equipment.. wow, where to stop? Printer, web cam, digital camera, USB to Ethernet adapter (Work doesn't have WiFi).
Ooo! One of those USB reading lights! Just for the pure nerdyness of it all!..
Or a USB powered Computer Vacuum.. nah, that would really suck...
geesh... too... many... possibilities.... Headache... blurred vision... shaking hands... pounding chest...
(Maybe install a medical reference guide? do they have USB defibrillator's?)
Whew! That was close!
Here's hoping I can handle all that connectivity in real life!
