How could we ever forget E-Tellurian's cryptic wecom postings or reese, or W.A.B.A? Or me getting thwacked over the head by psionandy and jogga in the P&R forum debates?

And of course Chris Leckness' George V WWI recruiting poster for reviewers that got me hooked back in early '07?

I can't nail it down to one specific memory. I was wanting/needing a PDA for work and Googled and found Aximsite. I spent countless hours reading and researching what my options were. Once I got my x51v over 2 years ago, I had lots of questions about my new device and everyone here was more than happy to answer them. Occasionally I still have questions, but for about a year, I try to mostly answer questions as I've become pretty adept at using my device. It always feels good to help someone like I was when I needed it. I visit here every single day.

I too, remember when Axim site was down a couple of times and thought I was going to lose it! :rolling: But it came back up and all was well again. :approve:

Keep up the good work Chris and Axim site/Mobility site staff!! Looking forward to many more years here.

Memories

Let's see. I didn't hang out much at Aximsite (I had an iPAQ, not an Axim), but I do remember trying to plan a Pocket PC cruise. I remember Chris calling me on the phone (I think out of the blue) about it, too.

I remember winning a Samsung BlackJack in a contest (one of a few contests I've won) and donating it to IronGuy so he could give it to his sister.

I also remember when I had 400+ posts at iPAQ HQ that don't show up here (probably because I used Pony99CA at both sites...).

my memories are bittersweet.

I bought an ipaq before the x50 devices were released. So my memories of Aximsite are reading about a device that was much nicer than my own.......

man i wished i had a vga screen

Memories u say .... bah !! my whole life revolved around iPAQHQ... :D

I remember when u were redesigning the site and i was giving u feed back on how and which colour looks better... i felt part of the team and let me tell u that feeling was pretty overwhelming ... and there was this time when i had posted a news and that made the front page and u mentioned that courtesy phreaker18 u got the news... u have no idea how happy that made me feel ... i had a grin pasted on my face the whole week...

i cant even recollect how many issues with my iPAQ 2110 were solved by the coomunity members and in turn i hope i was able to help out some of the community members... by far one of my favourite sites and one of the most friendly communities...

thank u for everything ...

As I haven't been here a long time, it's still an extremely interesting community.

First, Box's attitude (in a good way) is what makes everything so fun.
Also, I dug up some information on Mr. K and it was such a hunt.

Second, the knowledge here on Axims and everything else is just incredible. I was looking for an adapter for my Xbox 360, and Box's ninja skills found a cheap one for me.

Lastly, the thing I enjoy most is "Guess what it is" on Water Fountain thread. It's hilarious what many people guess.

Thanks to all members and Chris (Aka Commissioner). Happy Birthday Aximsite!

My fondest memory is when I bought my Axim X3i on impulse and freaked out a little cause I did not know why I bought or what I should do with it. Iwas at the Dell Forums and this site was mentioned. I high tailed it over here and lurked for about 30 minuets and decided I had to register. Thanks to many of you that helped me in the early days I now can not live without some sort of PPC managing my daily life. I would like to thank Chris for Aximsite. Many Thanks to all those who helped me along the way. I  this place.

I remember the help I got when I got my first Axim (x50V). I also remember when someone hacked my account and I got blocked. Frenchy came to the rescue.

I found MobilitySite on youtube when I was searching for a new cell phone and your reviews helped me choose the Samsung Blackjack II which I absolutely love and have been hooked on MobilitySite ever since.

Memories....like the corners of my mind...misty water-colored memories...
...scattered pictures.....Ok I'll stop now, but I bet it's in your head already.

So many great memories... too many to post here, without boring everyone to death, but I'll give you some.

I remember what it was like when I first found the site, I was overwhelmed to find so much information in one place, it was awe inspiring. Everywhere I looked I found great tips and solutions to my problems. I suspect, without Aximsite I wouldn't be using a PPC today.
I remember my first tentative posts and how well they were answered.
I remember the first time I knew the answer to a question, and had the courage to post my answer.
I remember the support and encouragement from everyone on the site.

I joined after the infamous MrK era, but I have learnt a great deal about those times by reading the old threads.
I was fortunate enough to be here when his other great incarnation, Merkin, was active and they were great times.
I particularly remember Merkin helping me through some tough personal moments.

I remember my frustration at not knowing how to post a picture directly in a post and my fascination with how people made animated Avatars, both of those problems were solved for me with the unquestioning help of RS9.

I remember the camaraderie, helpfulness, jocularity and all round good fun from all the members here.
I remember so many old threads that people don't visit anymore.
I remember the wonderful conversations in the Water Fountain and the thought provoking debates in the P&R forum.
I could start listing individuals but I would be sure to miss one and I don't want to risk that.
I have made some life long friends here that I would never have met otherwise, some have gone and some are still here and I'm sure there are still more to come.

I guess these aren't really memories of Aximsite events, just my memories of why I love this place.

I think mostly I remember how confused and intimidated I was when I first came here, and yet everyone was friendly and helpful, so I do my best to give back what was given to me back then.

Regrets.........I've had a few......but then again..too few to mention......

Did I mention I remember the musical conversation thread?

I remember when someone who had started posting again under various aliases finally revealed himself to be one of the truly great Aximsite members - and the kiwi lived on!

Memories... I love how easily I have always been able to find answers to my questions, even if I don't ask it, I could always search the forums and find it already there.
Dang, now I have that song in my head. Darn Cats.

BLUETOOTH DRIVERS and MY AXIM

How could anyone forget the LOOOOOONG development of the hacked bluetooth drivers that allowed the axim to function "properly".. *sigh* those were the days... constantly checking the thread to make sure you had the latest and greatest drivers.. yessssss

I also frequented the "my axim" section FREQUENTLY to get new Ideas on today screen and Wisbar setups (that x51v had the most GOREGEOUS SCREEN!!!). I had an ipaq something or other to introduce myself to wimo after a long love affair with palm. After I got aquanted with wimo CE (2003 or something) I pined for a WM5 device and picked up the x51v.. i remember the very first time I turned it on.. i spoke only one word... 4 letters.. starts with a "D" (i'm christian now and wouldn't repeat.. LOL). that screen was MAGNIFICENT..
