I just remember these sites as great places to go when I finally pulled my PDA head out of the USENET forums and found the web some years ago ...

This has been a unending resource of fixes, tweaks, education and resources for me eversince I bought my Axim. I even had a chance to contribute to the content for a while (miss it too). the people Chris has found to help keep the sight updated are a great bunch of folks, as are all the members who share their experience and knowledge to thow who find their way here. Thanks for everything

My strongest memory about this site is the countless times I've turned here for solutions to problems, suggestions to improve performance of ppc(s), look for recommendations on software and hardware, check for discounts, freebies oh and let's not forget to mention contests and chanes to win.

Cannot thank this community enough for making my ppc experience better!!

I remember getting my X5 and playing with it for a while and then wanting to do more. I found Aximsite.com in a Google search and my eyes were open. Getting to beta test some software for the first time was fun as well.

Hmm... about 5 years ago I got my first WinMob device, the AXIM x30 Mid... A few searches for questions brought me here every time, so I quickly joined! It was this community that changed me from complete, "Why can't I install programs like normal Windows" n00b to the person I am today!

my memories

I started out here, bought my first pda (a cheap hp model) and then soon found that i would need more power, so i sold that first pda on the site and then bought an axim here as well. i learnt a whole lot about it but in the end i moved to a touch and sold the axim. It isnt quite the same with the qvga screen and no accelerated graphics, but its good enough.

This site is actually the reason that I bought my Dell Axim X5 back in 2003. The people here were so helpful and it seemed like a great community. Since being a member here spoiled me, I have actually not purchased some phones or PDA's purely because there wasn't a community like this available for them.

The way that you have kept the Axim site available when you merged with mobility is nice. It would have been a great loss. I recently acquired a Dell X30 to have as a 2003 SE device (for testing) and I have already found the saved X3/X30 forums very helpful. I am also in need of a WM 5 device and an X51 would be nice.

Let's say that I've learned quite abit about PDAs and now WM phones starting from the first day when i decide to purchase an Axim X3 to opening up the unit and repairing my LCD screen.

I feel that i grew up with Axim site over these years.. and I'm happy to see Mobilitysite and how this has became a community for all devices..!

Cheers..!

I love the updates of the latest phone software. I normally like change and being able to find new stuff, through the sites, have kept my phone fresh!

I remember looking for my 1st Pocket PC and having no idea what to get. Then I found your site and had no idea Dell even made a device (let alone such a great product as the Axim)

Well after reading your site and asking a few questions my mind was made up. I bought a Dell Axim X50v thanks to you and all the fellow members. I loved that device.

Unfortunately it has met an early demise and I sure miss it. I would love to get a replacement and an X51 sounds great.

Chris thanks again for your great site and all of the members that are so helpful

My first PDA was an HP Jornada 520, that I loved to bits. When it was time for an upgrade I looked for the best possible move, which would also be a good value for money. I came across the X50v.

I bought it on Ebay, and this is where my troubles started. Its touchscreen/digitizer was faulty.

This site became invaluable in finding the solution (I learned that I had to get it professionally replaced). I learned a lot about freeware and software; what I have on my AX is all what I learned here, starting with this, straight on the frontpage:

http://www.aximsite.com/boards/vbart...e&articleid=81.

I now have an X51, with WM6.1 on it, and unless Santa gives me a smartphone that is better than the X51 (how about the Asus P565), I will stick to it for at least another year (to give him another chance...).

Carry on Aximsite, there are quiet people out there, who though don't post a lot, but read you a lot.

I remember people in the forums asking questions like, "I just bought a new Axim, what can I do with it?" And, nice folks in the forums pointing them to the tutorials or other threads of "must-have" software.

I remember being very frustrated with my new Axim because it kept losing its charge and stumbling over this site where all the information that I needed to fix the problem was there. I joined immediately and have been coming back ever since.
