My good friend at Dell is getting us a nice Dell Axim X51 for one lucky winner! This unit will not be under warranty and it's not going to be "Brand New" for obvious reasons, but I assure you that it will be a nice device for someone!
This contest is quite simple, just share some memories of Aximsite/iPaqHQ/Mobilitysite. I know we've been through a lot together. Some of you remember me when I had more time, some don't. Either way, there are a lot of memories I cherish here in these forums... What are yours? Don't get cheap with the word count folks!
This contest will run until Dec 31st and I will select one winner from the entries after the deadline of 12pm CST.
Thanks for all the memories!

Lets see.
I remember the time you let the domain expire accidentally, and going to aximsite.com would say that the page was invalid. I was like, what do i do without my aximsite?
I seriously thought that dell shut you down or something and was really mad at dell until the site came back.
I even saved a screenshot on my computer of the expired domain. This is real, its dated Dec 15, 2006. Thats almost 2 years ago.
I also remember when you took the whole site down for maintenance and i was like, what do i do without my aximsite, again?
You have had some great contests over the years, and some people have been very lucky winners.
A lot has changed here in the 3 years that I've been here, but what hasn't changed is the quality job you do running this site.
This place has always been and will always be a nirvana for mobile junkies.

I just remember the overwhelming amount of information and how much knowledge most of the people had when I first joined in 2004. I was trying to decide IF I wanted an AX or a Palm. After a week of surfing the forums, I had decided the AX was the only way to go. :)
Like spunker88, I remember the site being down for days and felt lost and what would I do if it didn't come back. How would I get my questions answered. Then, when the site would come back it was like getting back with old friends. :approve:
Then, ANJ introduced me to the Water Fountain forums. I'd run out of space trying to mention all the people from around the world I've conversed with. Not many sites can claim to have active people from every major continent in the world. :)
Of course, there was the major change from Aximsite to Mobilitysite. I was afraid we might lose our identity. But, we've become part of something that has become much bigger. While I still love my AX, I know in a few years I'll have to move on to something else. Where will I go to decide, right here on Mobilitysite. :approve:

My fondest memory was when I became a staff member here at the site. It gave me a real feeling of accomplishment. I was just proud to be a part of something so big. I know that I haven't had as much time to devote to this wonderful site as I should but I plan to remedy that. Thanks for all the great memories Chris/Aximsite/Mobilitysite.
I remember so many occassions that I found solutions here that made me a much more enjoyable owner of my x50v. And all the supports I received for the little tool I offered here for everyone.

Well, dang! With 6 years running it is hard to pin things down to 1 thing. I can remember always going to PocketPCThoughts and while there hearing about Aximsite. I actually had an x5 for a while and started visiting Aximsite and loved it!
The best part of Aximsite HAS to be the community. While the news and reviews have always been great the community of users here has always been so freakin friendly and supportive.
I think one of my favourite parts of the forums was a post that was done a while ago about must-have software. Right after getting my Axim x50v I was searching through the forums and found this post. The list was fantastic!! I used to come back to that list sooooo much to get suggestions on new apps. I tested a TON because of that page. :)
Chris and team, thanks a ton for making Aximsite such a great place to hang out!

I remember the add to the picture posts that would go on and around and even opened up sequels.
I really liked the ones where something was trying to be figured out, like getting Bluetooth working, or a Wifi connection, or the many threads on tweaks and software settings.
As a relative newcomer my memories are few and far between but I like to do a bit of reading and I have spent countless hours reading back through the archives and coming across posts that are relevant to my particular needs. I suspect that, come the end of time, Aximsites' legacy to the world of PPC's will be it's archives. The wealth of information contained here is staggering.
Twenty years from now someone will come across these humble threads and say "what the heck is this all about?"."Axim? I thought that was just an ancient myth". But we know the truth.
My first memories are before I even owned a PPC. I wanted to get a PDA for work, primarily for conducting field inventories. I came to this site to research some options and quickly found that the Axim X5 was a perfect fit, offering permormance and expandability with its dual card slots. Soon after my first visits I joined the site and continued my knowledge quest. The community here has been gracious and generous and I have tried, as a member, to be the same, offering, when I can, help, tips and advice to those with questions or problems.
While I frequent this site far less than I did in previous years, I do still use my X5 and try to pop-in from time to time to stay current with the site.
Thanks Chris for giving us aximsite(mobilitysite)!
Memories? Memories you say!?!?
This may be considered as a Non rant, but hey, I have a lot of good memories from this site.
Lets start with Box, I know, dangerous place to start, but one must begin somewhere. As my spelling and grammar teacher, quality post police, never answer my questions find out for yourself professor, general keep me in line guy, Box was the first to answer any of my double posts when I first came to this site.
Non, what would I do without you? That kitty has been the most fun with our bouts of post wars, insults, and general rabble rousing.
Senior Chief, thanks for just being here all the time.
Zani, with his imparted wisdom, and pics from his trips, has been a good guy to have around.
As to the not so often around posters I have come to be friends with, Wendy, ANJ, Morphy, Spud, RS9, Pedah, love ya all!
Frenchy and hstn, also great dudes that put up with my posting frenzies.
This being my first time ever being in an online community, I have loved every minute and post of it. Thanks guys!!! :approve:

It only hurt once, from beginning to end.
Peace means having a bigger stick then the other guy.
Loosing may do little to your credibility, but quitting will destroy it.
My memory isn't about a specific point in time. Simply put - I purchased a Dell Axim X3 and googled for help, and Aximsite came up. The information I've received from the members here to help me through various Axim problems is my memory.
