Ummmm----you have to register with the site just to look at product information??

No thanks. It's a website, not a secure transaction for crying out loud.

I, for one, think these people have no idea how to do business. If you wish to showcase your product, don't have a thousand hurdles between your potential customer and your showcase.

Registering to see a screenshot or even gain a little more information is completely outrageous.

Sorry....

This product refuses to work on my X5/2003. I'm not really worried about the registration...I'm a lot more concerned with the fact that the software, in it's current incarnation, doesn't work.

I agree with this 100%. We shouldn't have to register with your site just to take a look at your product. Sorry...

Hi All

Thanks for your comments. Few clarifications...

The basic idea of implementing registration is to provide a better support to ForCE users. Demo copy can be downloaded from all the majot community portals such as Handango, PocketGear, Pocket PC Mill etc...

Still after considering your valuable inputs, I have decided to add a dedicated page for ForCE in small device site. This page would be up in next 2 days and after than anyone can acess to this page without registering....

Once again I am thankful for your inputs...my request is, if possible please mail me your inputs...I can implement them to improve our service...

sshrinivas@small-device.com

Regards
Srini

I think that is a great decision, Srini. You could still make users register on the site before purchasing the ForCE, so that you can better support your customers. But as you're already planning, having the product info available on a non-registered-user page.

Hey, that is quick response to (potential) customer feedbacks. Wish some other (uhm) manufacturers/vendors could do that.

Srini, could you provide a url once you have it? Thanks.

Thanks for the update, Srini.

ForCE looks like a very nice application. When I get a chance, I'll at least give the demo a shot. :)

I've been a beta-tester for this app, and if you like to use the "Home"-app and/or are a former Palm-user, this app is ten times better that the rest!

If you don't like apps like the "Home" app, don't bother...

Personally I removed it from my device as soon as I finished beta-testing, it's a good product, just not for me ;)

Just checked again.....you don't have to register to view the product info anymore.

Yes, you do still have to register to download the demo. However, many other companies also do this for any downloads....so I don't have a problem with that.

The problem initially was that you had to register even to view the product info.

p.s. Demo link works fine for me.
