I have been a big Vaja fan for the many years I have used a Pocket PC. However, this case is a RIP OFF. $340 bucks for a case? Not only that, the case is poorly designed, offering no access to side SD slot and soft reset button. Another poor design choice is the clip attachment which sits off-center causing the case to hang crooked on your belt or wherever you attach the clip. This also affects the iVolution cases as well.

The 700w iVo and Silver cases cover a different form factorThe belt clip on the 700w is perfectly aligned in the center of the case and works well as I have been accustomed to in past cases that I have owned.

However, I have read comments from owners who have the 750 case and they have remarked about the odd placement of the clip on the back of the case. Vaja has responded about the camera causing the clip to be moved, however, the consensus of owners and people who can just see the case, say that it is possible to have the clip centered.

I own a SmartphoneExperts hard leather case, which is very similar in design to the Vaja at a fraction of the cost. Of course, no where near the quality of leather of the vaja, but way better designed. The clip is not only in the center of the case, but also removeable (nice). Also, the sides of the SPE case allow access to the SD card slot and soft reset button which the Vaja does not.

According to the product statement above, the reset function is accessible, which as you can plainly see from the product photo’s it is not. Misleading advertising for sure.

With regards to price, I have no problem paying a premium for a good quality case that is well designed. For what the Vaja Silver offers and it’s apparent design flaws, it certainly IS NOT WORTH THE MONEY.
