PocketMac(TM) Creates First Pocket PC Theme Creator/Editor For Mac Users

Information Appliance Associates announces the release of PocketMac Theme Creator(TM), the first solution to allow Mac users to create Pocket PC themes from their Macs.

"With this product, Mac users can unleash their legendary creativity on these beautiful devices--the perfect fit!" Terence Goggin, CTO of Information Appliance Associates said.

More information about PocketMac Theme Creator can be found at http://www.pocketmac.net/themecreator.html

With PocketMac Theme Creator, users can set every element
of the Pocket PC, from the background image to the navigation bar and much more.

Goggin continued, "The Mac is the pinnacle of artistic tools and resources, yet until now Mac users had no method to utilize their Macs to create custom themes for their Pocket PCs."

Specifically PocketMac Theme Creator users can customize
their Pocket PC's:
(*) Background Image
(*) Today Screen colors
(*) Navigation bar
(*) Command bar
(*) Normal Messages
(*) Critical Messages

PocketMac user David Dickey said, "Being a professional art director I wanted to design themes for my PocketPC. The problem was that all my software is Mac-based and the only applications available to create themes are written for the PC. Now, thanks to the new PocketMac Theme Creator, I can generate custom themes on my PowerBook and put them on my PocketPC. My PocketPC has never looked so good."

PocketMac Theme Creator runs on OS X 10.2.6 and above and requires PocketMac(TM) or other sync software.

There are third party solutions for using a PPC with a Mac, I believe. Why people still use Macs, I'm not sure. The latest MacOS is a Mac GUI on Unix. Why they continue to fund Apple charging for proprietary ROMs when it just isn't necessary is beyond me.

Apple continues to market towards the inexperienced, neophyte, non-technical user. It's that kind of attitude that keeps people messing with technology who just shouldn't be allowed to do so.

I have heard it said that the death penalty is not enough of a deterrent.
I think that's because it takes too long to be carried out.

Bring back cruel and unusual punishment!

As a graphic designer/ Net Admin /IT Manager working on the field for over 8 years now and over 15 years of computer knowledge I wouldn't consider myself a "inexperienced, neophyte, non-technical user". I just know what I need for a certain job.

Your comment pretty much suggests for us to use a flat head screwdriver when we have a phillips screw. As a computer user you use the tool you need for the job, if you dont have the tool, you dont do the job, simple. If you dont want to do a certain job, then dont buy the tool for it, you dont need it. Whoring over one tool or the other tool is just pointless.

Just as pointless as your post, which answered only half of my question.
