A small hardshell case for CF devices like GPSes. I carry mine in my pocket and it's taking a beating. I want something not MUCH bigger than it, that's padded and hard shelled, so I can keep it in my pocket. I
Agreed. Something like you describe would be really useful. I currently use a LowePro DMC-V (which can carry my GPS card, WiFi card, a spare SD and a spare CF card) but it's a neoprene (soft) case that offers little protection against impact or crushing.

I think SanDisk warns against using their product period. :rolling:

Bet you could mod one of these to hold a Symbol (or similar) WiFi Card!

that is a cute case...but you're killin' me with the price! I suppose if it held more than two....

What about a hard case business card holder....wonder how many you could fit in one of those (?). At least it would be small enough to fit in a pocket.

These 'Card Caboodles' hold up to Four SD cards and cost only £2.49 (US$4.50) for one or £3.99(US$7.23) for a twin pack.
Only thing is its a UK based company.

Excellent, thanks for that link.

They also sell some nice looking microfibre cleaning cloths for reasonable prices.

I suppose if you really want to be cheap about sd & cf storage, you could always get a tic tac mint or altoids mint box. And, you won't have stinky breath....what a deal!

Big Smile Magnets Revisited

Haven't you heard...

Magnets can also assist the orbital mind control lasers in targetting your brainwave patterns, so as a safety precaution, everyone should wear a hat made from at least two layers of overlapping aluminum foil at all times (unless they can get at least 30 meters underground).

Just look at my picture... it's the magnets that did it to me.

I have one SD card as well. When I'm not using the SD in my axim, I keep the SD card in a Bonzai USB SD card reader that fits right in my pocket. This was a little freebie from our Dell rep (we have a corporate account and everyone will be pleased to hear we squeeze them for all the free stuff we can get under threat we won't buy those servers or 20 desktops, or 15 laptops we said we were going to get) and it's very handy to have around. I've also got an 8 in 1 USB 2 desktop card reader that the my SD, CF or microdrive cards sometimes live in. I find it alot faster to move mp3's or other info through the card reader as opposed to straight through the sync cradle.

I personally would stay away from placing my memory sticks near a magnet.

Any particular reason WHY???

Flash RAM is solid state, you know, and is not affected by magnetic fields.

..............OK, maybe an MRI might cause problems...................
